Time to roll out

Welp, it’s been fun y’all. Have enjoyed my ride immensely since day 1, but it’s time to move to something a little more capable.

Out with the Tundra, in with the 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 SLT. She should be here in 2 weeks or less. Then it’s off to the great vastness of the west to pick up the new Grand Design Solitude.
Let’s the adventures begin

With a pin weight in the 4200lb arena, I’m alright with a little wiggle room.

 

GPM may be a simpler way to calculate fuel consumption with the Tundra as a PV. (pushed vehicle)

 

I'm curious, how do folks wash and wax these giant combos? My crewmax and 21' is plenty of a workout for me. So, is it off to the full service truck wash or what?

 

this is where you hire someone or the place you store it has the option of full service so it’s just drop n go lol.

One thing my family and friends like to do with our Class A's is hire someone mobile to come out when we stay at a campground. There's a mobile guy that will come out and do all of our rigs in one day at one place we stay.

 

I kinda figured such.

 

I had a 2011 and then a 2017 Chevrolet CC 4x4 dually with the Duramax. When towing our Fiver (a little over 17,000 lbs) the mpg was between 9 and 11 depending on terrain. Strong head winds will make it less than 9. Both trucks were my daily drivers and got about 16-16.5 in town and about 18.5 on the hwy.

 

Oh yes. She’s a BEAST!! But she’s a beast who has been AVERAGING 24.3mpg. Last drive (a shade over an hour) I got 27.3 mpg.

We are at altitude 4-5k, and the truck was empty…but GAWD DAMN. I had no idea. None.
Needless to say, quite impressed.

She’s stock for the moment. 445hp, 910tq. Have exhaust on order and a Pulsar Edge tuner also showing in the next few days. Should get those numbers up to roughly 505 and 1120…and MOST folks running the tune are netting 3-4mpg better.

 

I am sure you will like your new Solitude. We have a 2020 377MBS.

 

Hell yes! Beautiful rig! We’ll be driving back across SD tomorrow to finally pick up the new “home”. Wicked excited.

Had some additions being made. Poly, awning covers, tankless H2O, genny…this is a whole different game of mod-bug. Haha
