Definitely far from perfect, but it's alright. I'm just happy to see Dewalt is supporting older tools.

I think I'll pass mine off to a younger kid who couldn't otherwise afford it easily, but will use the hell out of it. They can get some chinesium batts off fleaBay or scAmazon for 1/8th what a new unit costs. Then I'll go buy one of the newer 20V Li units my batt charger is already-ready to use for myself. I try to pass along tools where I can, I've had a lot of tools passed down to me over the years and there's plenty of guys near me who don't have anyone to pass stuff down to them.

I picked up a Bosch 18v driver back in 2014 and that bastard is still going strong (DDS181-102L). I prefer Dewalt and always have, but the Bosch stuff has been extremely reliable and potent for my smaller jobs. Can't help but wonder how the other stuff does and I'd love to have universal batteries.

Original and pristine. Oil changed a while back and is clean as it gets. Regearing and locker.

Yeah, Toyota too. There is a chance of Toyota fitting in the grille but not a great chance. Tundra might fit on the tailgate. No idea how I’d attach it though.

Ah feck. Does this mean I need to start referring to my '06 FGT as a 1.5gen? What are we using as the designation, front bumper and grille? Or Toyota's frame recall bracket? Oh, why did we need this added layer of confusion? /s

see I think we’ve discussed this before, I think that would be considered a 1.75 gen, since the 04 had the updated grill but no vvti…..

Yeah, I don't recall discussing it, but maybe it was for the brief period I had to take a hiatus.

I think the most logical way to break it down is based on appearance cues. Feature-set- and drivetrain-wise, you'd probably need to break it down into 00-02, 03-04, 05-06. Let's really make a mess out of this and start calling them 1.3, 1.6 and 1.9 gen just to be some real Nutards.

I gave my old 18v Dewalt to my son with a 20v adapter also. The adapter I bought fit much better. More like the original battery footprint. The 20v batteries are great.

"/s" for end of sarcasm. :D

On the IH, Inbox me on it, cover the ride and it's yours. I'm travelling Wed-Sat but should be able to get it out before then if we hustle.

I ordered a new Bosch driver last night, and have a home lined up for the 20V charger + adapter. This gives me a unique opportunity to declutter/streamline in the shop.
