Hey all. 21 tundra sr5 and looking for some much better headlights. I currently have the halogens and they suck. I replaced the halogens on my previous ram with super nova v4 led bulbs and they were amazing at night but at the cost of everyone else. I didn't realize until later after I sold it that I should have adjusted them down when going led. Anyway I have read many people on here mention the alpha rex so I looked them up and a pair of the pro led versions are a little under 500$. Just wondering what everyone who runs them thinks about them as far as durability, better lighting, and how trouble free or problematic they've been. Appreciate any feedback.

Just a more expensive version of all the other aftermarket junk. Seen a lot of quality issues from alpha Rex lights. Drls burning out. Moisture issues. Issues on warranty replacements. Spend a little more and get oem led headlights. I have never seen a single issue from an oem led headlight.

What I was worried about. I like the way they look but haven't seen any in person. Are the oem led lights much better than the halogens?

    Yes.

most people either go OEM led or morimoto. Really your best two options.

Sounds good. I know the morimotos are super expensive but sharp. I'll look into the oem versions. Didn't really give them much thought.

Have you considered retrofitting your headlights?

Not really. I like the look of some that I've seen but I'm more into the plug and play of just swapping them out. Once I have a new set I may consider messing around with the originals.
