Totally agree. Is this the dude that got it stuck and had to be pulled out the day he got it?

Yep, 'til I boxed and braced the frame. Even so, there are limits, it is NOT a race truck. Great quote I heard recently, "drive the truck you brought, not the one you wish you had."

That guy is creepy AF. All around.

Looks like the bulkhead broke. Takes out some of the integrity of the whole structure. I have broke a few and its because something slides forward and hits it or a forklift driver pushes it.

So basically a heavily modded truck turned into a kind of oversized dune buggy! In that case he is right, it & any mass produced stock truck isn’t a “trophy truck” - which makes his point moot. I do agree the guy in the vid is not an experienced off roader, & has suffered much damage to his truck that he could have avoided. But it’s his truck & his $$$ so he is showing us the trucks limits up to & including damage as a result. Learning through the school of hard knocks.

On a positive note, though, all his jumping and bumping kept his wastegates unstuck.

Reminds me of a few stories about the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2.
Some people online bitching that they folded their frames, and the truck is a POS. Threatened legal action against Chevy.

But, someone found videos online of these same ZR2 owners driving at high speeds through whoops in the desert...... with a freaking off road single axle trailer on the hitch, and a bed full of gear.

Chevy was able to prove that the beds were overloaded and that the trailer bucking and whipping on the hitch was abuse.

    Warranty denied.

I dunno. Sounds like something is smacking something at 8:45, but dang, I'm just as hard on my 2007 Titan.

On the first post of this thread, it looks like the Tundra bed may be slightly closer to the cab than on older trucks?

I noticed Toyota has intentionally reduced many gaps on the Tundra likely for aerodynamic reasons.

Although older trucks like mine can probably be abused harder than the new Tundra, I don't think the vast majority of people treat their rigs like that. So, I don't necessarily think the Tundra is faulty.... It's just so much nicer now that the tolerance to abuse is reduced.

Ridgeline is twice the Tacoma. At least the first gen was.
Many Tacoma owners here - Tundra wannabees.

So forget the guy for a minute and just look at the terrain the Tundra is on.
This is very similar terrain to what we used to get in early spring heading to the cabin.
Before the road got under control
We used to have big holes on the road from people puncturing through the frost coming up, driving in too early.
This is right after the truck hits on the way out. He hits pretty good in the middle hitch area but I can't see that causing flex?
In the next couple of videos I expect his drivers door to be missing.

It’s good to learn the limits of your truck. You just can’t get body damage on every lesson you learn. Lol. I’ve only seen 3 wheeling videos from this guy and I’ve already seen him hit his bed on his cab, high center and smash in his door, and basically rip off both his front and rear bumpers. Oh man, I can’t wait til he tries rock crawling.
