Check how much they want for the salvage. Probably a lot of money to be made off it.

Ya, I owe ~$39K so I fully understand that I'd be starting from scratch on a truck at an inflated rate. I'm likely going to attempt to order a new 2022 Tundra TRD pro but obviously need to understand how many years :) it might take to get one and better understanding what the dealership upcharge will be.

It was picked up by my insurance company and taken to their lot for their own appraiser to determine the damage. Here is the summary. Seemed high but the itemized list is two pages long with a lot of little parts that added up quick. If 55% was the mark to hit for a 'totaled' vehicle, than it seems they valued the vehicle at around 55K. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I think your values are way low. Here is NADA eval assuming 30k miles. This is before tax, title fee, etc.

I like your style! :) I'm certainly going to need to get that if I'm going to get into a new TRD Pro. Just received this pricing below from the sales rep that sold me my last Tundra.

Not sure on your financial situation but this could be a sweet 2nd truck if you could buy it back as salvage. Trail doors, steel bumpers, led headlights, sell off some of the passenger side parts to offset a bit of the upgrades. Could be super fun.

That's a tough pill to swallow. Here is what my wife told me when my 4runner was totaled......(we had a third car at the time that I could use as my daily driver)

"How about you drive the accord for a few months....we will bank the payoff from the insurance company and pay what your monthly payment was into that account each month until you find what you really want. That way we may have more to put down and less to finance when the time comes to get a new truck." I only lasted two months because my friend is a general sales manager at a high volume Toyota dealership and he traded with a NC dealer to get what I wanted at a discount too good to pass up. But might be a way to approach it IF this isn't your daily driver.

It's my daily driver but my wife and I both work from home 95% of the time. We have one SUV that's paid off. The family wagon. We're going to drive that one for as long as we can but I can tell you... that is going to get old real quick. Ha! My wife already told me just to go pick out a new one and order it because it will take forever to get here and she knows there's no stopping me anyways. That's that an understandable wife of 17 years gets ya. Personally, I think she was just as upset it is wrecked as she loved that truck too.

I don't think you're going to find a 22 for MSRP. I was quoted 70K out the door for a 22 Limited 4x4 TRD OR 6.5ft bed. Wasn't happening. Found a used 21 with low miles.

I was in a no fault accident which totalled my 2020 Tundra that you see in my profile pic. Took 3 months to settle because my insurance's original offer was too low. They also "got" me with an aftermarket parts cap of $1000 vs the $6000 worth of aftermarket I actually had on the truck.

Long story short, hold your line on your number and do not allow the insurance company to screw you. My patience ultimately allowed me to settle w the at fault insurance company. Went from the original offer from my insurance company which was only 50K and ultimately settled for 60K recouping the ACV and aftermarket parts I had on the truck.

Just finally replaced my Tundra with 2022 Tundra just this week after getting slammed on October 15th. Hope your experience is going to be better than mine. Good luck!!

Good to hear everyone is okay and good luck finding a replacement truck.

Hopefully someone gets the power steering rack out of this one.;)

No doubt! Look how clean the rest of the truck looks! Salvage might be pretty good on this truck. Keep an eye out fellas if you want one. ;)

Thats a fair price and I would accept. I was offered 54K for 2021 Toyota limited nightshade last week. PRO is higher. Does that include taxes?
