Hell yeah. I've always wanted a proper battery tester. $38, wtf, I'll take it! WOOT!

This is the same as the Matco branded tester. I think retail is $600 w/o the printer like this. Just the hand unit with no cables typicall sells used north of $100.

We'll see! I assume it works, if not, hopefully I can repair. If not, I'm sure I can sell for parts for twice what I paid, so ... my only loss is potentially time.

    Hey, speaking of testers....

Targeted at any of you more EE-focused types. I've been using an Signstek MESR-100 to test my caps but after some really weird readings on a pair of caps I'm, like, 90% sure are good (two 1k's below) and another cap (not pictured here) is totally blown and I'm 100% sure is bad, I'm starting to question whether it's a POS gimmick and I think I'm just going to return it before my 90day window expires.

Anyone got suggestions for a higher-quality in-circuit tester that can do up to 5k-6k microfarad caps?

@FirstGenVol , and anyone else who rides regardless of experience, The two most valuable skills I’ve learned for riding motorcycles:
    1. Counter steering - like it sounds, it’s counter intuitive. You’re not really in control of your bike unless your consciously counter steering the bike at higher speeds.
    2. Trail braking - too hot in a corner? Low traction surface? Don’t go grabbing a handful of that front brake. It’s your most powerful brake, and it will bite if not used properly. Front brake is for straight line braking and can stop you on a dime. Weight transfers forward when braking giving the front brake the most traction and most stopping power. But turns and low traction and it will slide out on you or highside you. Using the rear brake only in these situations can cool down your speed and allow you to keep control through a corner or on loose surface. Some of the pros will drift through the corners on their rear brakes and go faster into the corners. Don’t recommend that, but look both of these up and practice them. As the sage and ever wise men of Cypress Hill would say, “when the shit goes down, you betta be ready” (you betta be ready!!)

Will the torque pro app be good enough for me to see if my O2 sensors are working properly? I'm guessing I can get a pretty good idea of fuel trims as well?

    My .02 on the MSF:

I just took it less than a year ago, with 0 riding experience. It taught me enough about riding to be able to get out and ride. But I also picked it up pretty fast and was bored through most of it. Instructor told me to slow down a few times. They give you a slip to get your M endorsement automatically so it was a win/win for me.

Damn. I used to pay about 1/2 that during the winter as I recall. I used to rent a cabin by the lake in Natick, MA. Pretty cool having your own boat slip.

It was about 20 years back though.

$453 for 178 Gallons ($2.54/gallon). And it will be $1.66 a gallon in March during a "pre-buy" program.

Your also in Mass? These prices are in the south, Arkansas specifically. We're still paying $2.95/gallon for gas.

I tried to do that when I was getting O2 sensor codes, the data was all over the place and I gave up and just replaced the sensors. I'm a super novice though

I have to research some options to update the hardware for sleeves, bushings, grease, stuff like that. I'm open to suggestions.

Another thought and not the first option is weld all three plates together if all else fails to create one big plate. maybe increase the number of bolts and "box" it. That's a fairly committed choice. So, I'll look at what others have done if I can find anything.

30" best I can recall. Single row would probably be best. Check nicks thread.
