    Hi all,

I’m planning to wire my ditch lights to the trigger system but it was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how you wired your lights to the trigger. The native connections on the lights are Deutsch style.

Should I just cut the wiring harness that came with my ditch lights down to where the relay and tap the pos to pos and neg to neg? I also picked up a Y splitter. Should I cut the heads off of the Y splitter and go direct into those wires? They do sell a kit that would keep the heads on the Y splitter, but I’m not sure if it’s necessary

also, it doesn’t appear I’ll be needing the exiting relay or any relays going forward with this system. Can someone confirm?

    thanks in advance

    Too many, but not enough....
Are you using a controller like a switch pro or just what came with the ditches?

Your trigger should come with another end that has bare wires on it. You can take that end and wire the female end of whatever connector your lights use or you can strip your connector and splice positive to positive and negative to negative

you should need to wire in a relay your trigger system is essentially your relay

I’ll be using the Trigger 6 shooter module to wire it in

Also your trigger has three different wire sizes to carry the different amps

Be mindful of this, the thickest will be used fo the 30 amp and so on in descending order

thank you for confirming. I was going to take the wires from the included ditch light harness and splice it close to the relay so that I have extra wiring to manage in case it ends up being short. Just wanted to also confirm that I should be fine to just cut the heads off of the Y splitter that I posted above and just use some type of connecter for red on red and black on black? Any recommendations for which types of clips or crimp style connections?

I believe I’ll just use the middle range. I believe it’s 15amp in the center

I just cut them, soldered them and add some heat shrink for some water protection just in case
