Purchased my Tundra new in June of last year. Shortly after I had a 7” Procomp lift installed with 20x10 -25 Methods and 35x12.50s. Love the ride quality and looks, but as I have put some mileage on the set up I’m starting to notice things. Procomp specs a 35” tire no problem, but mine is rubbing a small area on the drivers side bumper. Seems happen in reverse. I see lots of comments of guys running 37s with this lift, so I feel there’s something wrong…. Any input is appreciated.2B417021-E5DC-401C-A4D8-926B322E151A.jpg65E78DE7-0DC2-4136-9C79-947DB3A4CD6F.jpg

The rub could be as simple as an alignment issue with your caster numbers. Also, alot of guys say they fit 35s and 37s easy but what that may really mean is some slight mods like taking off flaps or heat gunning the front liner a bit. Or go the route I went and just get an aftermarket high clearance front bumper.

Thanks for the quick reply MadMax. I guess I should also mention all the flaps and liners have been removed by dealer when they installed. Only thing under there are the top liners and the splash guards.

Pretty sure the easiest think for you at this point if you havent already done it would be coachbuilder bumper shims. It will buy you like half inch to an inch i think, sounds like that would clear you.

Definitely will check them out. I want to find the root of the problem to see if is something with the install or kit. I know my bumper gap up front is all off. Like 1/4” on driver and 3/4-1” on the passenger. Super weird

I have an extra half of the spacers if you want to split the cost? I only used one shim on each side for my tire rubbing!

You can probably fix it with a caster adjustment.

I noticed the same thing on mine. 6" pro comp with 35 x 12.5 x 20. The bumper cover misalignment (really just the passenger chrome cap) wasnt bothering me until I replaced the fogs. Now it drives me nuts since the passenger side is aimed way off.

I may see how far i can push the warranty and see if the dealer will fix the bumper alignment. Otherwise, I'll probably pull it off when I install new headlight bulbs. In all fairness, there is a small outward dent in the chrome like someone beat on the bumper to push it out, possibly because it was rubbing.

Here's a comparison of top down view for my bumper.

I like big trucks and I cannot lie.... anyways.. could always just grind down that part of the bumper that's rubbing. Cheapest and quickest solution.

I have an alignment set up for Friday so we will see how that helps. Normally I would trim the bumper, but I live beachside…. Where plastic rusts hahah.

what does procomp say about wheel offset? that -25 offset is pushing your tires pretty far out and is causing the rubbing. if you went with a higher offset (0 maybe?), you probably would not rub. however, as others have said, you can solve this with trimming or by installing bumper spacers.

here is what i did to trim the front liner:

So I just finished up at the shop with suspension service. Tech said the new factory springs have settled a bit, and the -24 offset is causing a small rub on the driver side as I know. As per usual when I see shiny things I just went with a pair of Bilstein 8125s and I’m ordering some CB bumper spacers. Thanks gents for all the feedback. Will post pics next week of results.

What will the 8125s set you back installed?

Yikes, I'd have to start getting my bed ready in the doghouse now!

At some point I would like to replace all the spacers in my front end so im really interested in how these turn out for you.
