Yeah, it's pretty fun. Don't come on the weekend if you can help it, crazy busy. Lots of shops, parks, restaurants and a petting zoo near by.

I see them occasionally on CL and OfferUp when folks upgrade to the LED stuff. Those lights are brittle; I broke one just taking it off to install an LED reverse bulb. Good luck!

Sitting at les Schwab cause I walked out of work with a nail in my tire. The nail was the easy part but I bought some of those anodized aluminum valve stem caps to match my method wheels and they corroded on there so bad they have to cut them off. I did try some pb blaster to loosen but nothing. Would advise against those for everyone that lives in the PNW if you haven’t figured that out already.

However listening to some of these customers come in and their lack of knowledge of their own cars boggles me. Sir do you know if your truck is a 1500? Don’t know let me go check.

That always blows my mind too, also full grown men not knowing what engine is in their vehicle.

 

I’m guessing so with it being winter and salts on the road. Even though I wash once a week I’m sure it still happened. Throwing those away and going back to the plastic caps.

That was the next question he didn’t know. Bought a truck as is with a lift that needs shocks, control arm bushings, alignment etc…. His diagnosis was it wobbles for a long time after going over railroad tracks. This guy is old enough to be my dad. I wonder how people like that make it through life sometimes.

 

I got some cool metal valve stems for Christmas a few years ago. Everyone here said to not use them for just that reason. So into the trash they went. Sounds like they are a PITA.

 

Yeah I only had them on for maybe 2 months and never again! Sounds like I should have read some more. Good thing they were cheap and les Schwab put 2 new valves in for free when they could have easily made me pay.

Might be okay if you live in AZ or So Cal where it is not corrosive and rains infrequently.
