Who's got dogs? Post your pup!

This is giving me Step Brothers vibes

 

The pup tried making a new friend. The effort wasn’t reciprocated

 

Marley(16 year old white GSD) has not eaten in 48 hours, can't get up & just refused a french fry, we're looking for a place to come here to euthanize her.



When we got her

Today

 

so very sorry for you and your pup. We decided to do the same thing when our Zoe was at end of life. It was the best decision we made. She never liked going to the vets and would get extremely worked up and nervous a couple miles away. She always seemed to know. Our vet came and did it in our living room while Zoe was cuddled in her favorite blanket.

I wish you all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. People who don’t own dogs just don’t understand…..

 

I think that's the kindest thing we can do for them, but it kills us to do it. I'm gonna go sit with my dog a minute and make sure she knows I love her.

 

Don't tell her she's actually from California.

I am very sorry that you and your family are dealing with this. Wishing all of you the best as you have to make that decision and say your goodbyes. That is nice to find a vet willing to do that at the house!

I'm sorry you and your family are going through this. They are never with us long enough! Just know that for her to be with you for 16 years means you did some incredible things for her throughout her life. I'm sure she knows she is loved!!!!

 

All we can do is love them.

She survived the night but did not move.

 

ugh, this is rough.

Our older dog just started doing this Friday, couldn't get up, walk, wouldn't eat, she got better over the weekend then back to this state yesterday afternoon.

We took her to the ER vet last night and decided it was her time. Not much more they could have done in her critical condition and didn't want her to suffer any longer.

So sorry to hear and see this. I wish you the best.

 

That really sucks, man. I'm sorry for your loss.

 

Sorry for your loss & thanks, Marley would not eat about 3 months ago & I thought that was it, she was better then worse and I thought about two weeks ago when she went for her check up she would not come home but she was ok.

Sunday Morning she stopped eating and has not eaten until 10 minutes ago when my wife offered her the vanilla from an ice cream sandwich, she ate it so got the whole sandwich. At least she got a last tasty treat, the vet just texted, she is about 30 minutes out.

 

Just rough. Glad to hear she got treat.

I went through our fridge and pantry trying anything I could think of, mine had some banana (one of her fav's)

This is just awful news but you did the right thing. She was loved for a long life and she loved you back. Not many things better than a dogs unconditional love and companionship. She will be missed but I know she appreciated the great life you helped provide her. Take care and thoughts and prayers with you and the family
