Yeah I used them once for a frayed ABS sensor cable they were able to find the break in. Not much else. I use the parts.Parkertoyota.com for the discounted dealer parts too but that’s about it. I’ve yet to find a decent shop around for Toyotas specifically. Also I haven’t come across anything I can’t do myself yet so that’s probably why.

I don't even know what that means. It's hard to be PC when I'm so clueless haha. Is Squaw your nickname for the Sequoia?

Our rival high school growing up was, and still is, the Redskins. Surprised they haven't been cancelled yet.

It’s the same reason they are called Washington football club instead of the redskins. So lame. People get butt hurt of the tiniest things now

I think the nickname is pretty generic, I've heard it outside of and before my arrival here. Ask a 7yo how to pronounce Sequoia and that's likely what'll come out because what human in their right mind would think you pronounce it sec-koi-yuh? Sec-wah? See-kwoah?

Had to persuade a broken stud out for the skid plate. Pretty neat system. Two sideways hooks up front let you hang the skid plate so you can mount it with 5 bolts.
    20220208_113547.jpg

A little better than the two fingers we have up front me thinks.

Ah, is this what the other uh-oh pic was about? I was looking around trying to figure it out. Coolant drip marks? Are there mice anywhere?

I don't think mine has the sideways hooks, maybe an earlier-gen thing.

This is the 2008 squaw so it's the "next generation"

Been on pops about either ordering parts and having Bruce do the work or having me do it. He's skittish of me doing because it took me a month do to crackie. I tried to explain that I had other parts to order that I didn't know about when I started it, and I was dealing with a whole lot more than just parts swapping. I even walked him down there and showed him how fucked the cooling system was. Plus i worked on it like an hour at a time. Lol Still won't let me touch it.

I told him not to come running if he needs a crate engine.

But yeah, not sure when that job has been done last on this truck.

Check engine light for that stupid VVTI bullshit. Pops had it fixed the "correct" way with OEM parts through Bruce for about 2k about 3 years ago. I told him to order the Hewitt tech for about $450 and he didn't buy it.

He wants to order Hewitt tech this time. Lol

It was heavier than I could push out. Even in small doses it was too heavy. Tried to convince my brothers to help but they said it was too cold...

I've been keeping an eye out for a little 22 LR or WMR. Something with a threaded barrel for... ahem a muzzle break...

This store has a few, but I'm not ready to buy. They've got a really nice ruger precision 22wmr here with a free float hand guard. Couple of other nice items too.

    Then I saw this, now I'm a M16 fanboy...

Everything about this says 5.56. Except the BCG. The barrel says 5.56 with a 1/7 twist. Lower says 5.56. Bolt carrier is .223. Wtf lol

Ruger makes a 9mm carbine. It jammed a few times feeding with the ruger mag, but then i swapped in the glock mag adapter.

Haven't had a problem since m. Still needs to broken in the rest of the way.

Don't feel bad. If it's at least 30% wood and 20+ years old, I can usually speak to it. All this newfangled and military grade hardware (with exception of some handguns) is all foreign shit to me. I get more kicks out of shooting mixed wood/steel and vintage than I do out of military/specops/swat has lugged around over the last few decades.
