I’m not going to jailbreak my phone but, I’d prefer doing it myself than ordering one online; who knows what dodgy crap is installed.

As for watching videos, I could see passengers watching stuff while you were driving but yeah, distraction city if you’re not disciplined.

 

Has anyone ordered army green wrap and see how it compares to the Toyota army green paint?

We did not get a finish protection package on our Tundra.

How long should someone wait until waxing a new vehicle? Our Tundra was built mid December.

 

Im curious if you ordered your steps yet and had a chance to crawl under the truck to see if the bolts were there already? I ordered the steps and I haven't installed them yet but a quick look under the truck and I didn't see any bolts on the brackets!

 

I installed Predator steps myself several weeks ago and ALL of the needed bolts were already in place under the truck.

I have no clue why SparksParts.com states that you need to purchase additional mounting hardware (bolts) from them. They aren't needed.

 

I’m going to have to take another look under the truck and check the brackets again (there was snow and ice on the truck) but when I took a quick look I didn’t see any bolts. The reason I didn’t order the bolts is because so many already said that the bolts are there already

 

Bolts are there for sure, cheap aluminum tho and the ones from sparks are exactly the same. I ordered some after I installed only cuz I broke the original one inside the truck and had to use an extracted tool get it out. Don’t make the mistake I did I must’ve angled it wrong when loosening it up.

12mm and I actually did not torque them down yet. Although I still need to I believe the instructions say 34-Nm

Appreciate the advice. Put on TRD Running boards yesterday. 30 Minutes.

Bolts where in there very tight-took my time taking out. Used a small brush to clean out the threads and then hand threaded the bolts back in again taking my time and tightened up. Even with this, I could still feel dirt on the inside threads. It was cold as hell doing it-but worth it. Wife is petite at 5 feet and 100lbs so now don't have to reach across and pull her in. Truck looks very good with them and quite sturdy.

 

Ok I just dropped the running boards and letters to $250. I am in Dallas area.

No i would rather not. I dont like Paypal(I refuse to pay their fees) and the shipping on these is very expensive. Its around $200(thats what I paid Sparks).

 

Thank you for all of the information, Ill have to check to see if the bolts are there but I don't think they are, and if there not Ill have to see if I can find them online! Sparks quoted $16 bucks for the bolts and $26 for shipping!

 

we can Zelle or Venmo. I dont have PayPal either for the same reason. getting it from you would still be cheaper than going through sparks after shipping

 

I have the 16 bolts and will ship them including shipping for $28.00 I purchased them and did not use them.

 

Simple, yet effective. Now time to work on that ugly chrome T.

 

Changing my SR5 grille to a TRD one is a must as soon as they are available. That looks good!
