What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Transmission fluid and filter change. Used the preprogrammed N-D shift back and forth to assist. Greased drive shaft.

 

Why? Been debating doing the reverse actually. Only thing is the Diamond is easy to take off. The topper probably not so much.

 

Knocked out a few things today. Vacuum, soft detail ~ didn’t go OCD. Still have lots more to do and know it will get dirty. An Interior day mainly besides vled license plate, cargo lights, third brake light and vanity.



I still have a lot more parts around my house to go through. Baby steps

Edit: rear cam not set up right now. Left over from the taco and a dummy switch at the moment. Not sure I want it there or left of steering wheel. Or with the three switch set up from Abomb with the caliraised bar and BDS1 amber pods.

 

It's been a beautiful day and spent a bit of the afternoon tinkering on the truck. Installed LED puddle lights in the mirror, a lower grille led light bar, VLED license plate reverse light, and rexing V1 dashcam. Also, got my license plate and put that on.

Lightbar is a rigidhorse single row 30" light bar I got off Amazon. I had a nicer dual row one but it wont fit in there. Brackets are some $10 generic ones off ebay that required the single, interior bumper bracket nut to be removed to put the bracket on. will be aiming it tonight, then trying to put the trim back in.

 

How do you like your floor mats, any issues?

 

I like the topper….but just had some worries about the windows being broken for theft. I realized that I rarely stacked anything higher than the top of the bed so I didn’t need all the height of the topper.

They seem great. Honestly they’ve been under my bed the past few months waiting for the truck so they weren’t shaped perfect putting in ( warped laying flat for so long) I’m sure they will settle this week. I love the coverage and fitment around the edges, seats and trim. For $110+/- they are a win in my book. They are pretty thick and have a little bit of weight to them. I do not foresee any issues

It's been a chill weekend so I did a couple of things to the truck.

It hit 72000 miles, adjusted the tire pressure in the tires to 40psi, and added new Rigid DSS Pro ditch lights. These replaced my Rigid SR-M pods that I'm gonna move to the rear of my roof rack and use as high-mounted reverse lights—which I think willl be helpful when I have mountain bikes on the rack.

Finally a break in the deep freeze and I was able to install my boost autocrats tow mirrors. They got smoked strip lights with sequential turn lights, fully heated with back flood lights. Haven't hooked up the flood lights yet as I tried to find a solution to run them only on the cargo light switch in on position without them coming on when I open the door but I couldn't figure out the wiring, so ill just put a switch on the dash and turn them on when I need them.

No, both sides, you can even wire in the rear but I chose not to do those. But it dims both the fronts. See the picture I attached.

 

Did the cabin air filter swap, like quite a few others lately.

Had a battery not starting scare the other day, so picked up an X2 battery. Stock battery was 3.5 yrs old and was acting up in the past as well. Figured get ahead of this one before being stranded.

Do you want you're cargo light to come on when you open the doors? Because if you don't then you could still use that switch, just have it in the off position by default and not in the middle (turn on when a door opens setting)

Got my Total Chaos bed stiffeners in the mail yesterday, but was to nice of a day in the Bay to work on the Tuna.
So took the Dubb for a hwy 1 cruise!

 

Understood. I wanted the cargo and floodlights to be on when I switch the cargo light switch on ( not off ). This however can't be done as everything is run through a relay. The way you suggest it the cargo lights wouldn't come on at all, only the flood lights. Its fine. I run the flood lights separate on a switch like a light bar. That way I only turn them on when I need more visibility in the back loading tools or working on trailer. Boost auto has them wired into the backup light which is not practical as you can't have the bright flood lights on backing out of a parking spot, possibly blinding someone driving by.

 

Where did you get that shifter from? And are those tablet holders near the ac vents?

 

Hows the fitment? I got the Chelhead 32” Amber light bar and used CaliRaisedLED brackets…

Yes they are, good catch. I followed your lead. I cut them so I could move my 12.9” iPad up higher & see a little when I reverse. Still not happy with the placement though.
