    DD ss3 max led fogs. interior and exterior leds swapTRD Shift knob.
    I was also surprised by the 3m tape also. Mine started falling off after 2 yrs. had to order new 3m tape from them. Your other option is the morimito puddle light. Clip in just like factory.

    Installed VLED universal puddle lights 6 or 7 years ago in my SR5.
    Had to run the wires and drill the holes in the mirror housing.

    They haven't moved since.
    I love 'em, bright as ***

    I color-matched painted aluminum LED bars for my Amp steps and used 3M molding tape.
    They haven't moved it in 7 or 8 years either..
    It's all about the prep..

    4 strips, 2 per side,, with 6 leds per strip. Plenty bright. IMO it's easy to overdo it.

    Stuck them to the frame as far back as I could so you can't see the source without getting down low.

    I posted this on another puddle light thread...
    I ordered the VLEDS, will they fit on my 2021 TRD Pro? For whatever reason my TRD Pro doesn't have stock puddle lights...there's just a black cap where the puddle light would be. Anyone know if there's a dongle under there? Or do I need to do the SR5 conversion?

    A cap or just a circle on the housing? Most likely you will have to run wiring. I did it on my 2020 SR5.

    You can still make those work. The only difference is the universal drops into the hole that you cut with the outer housing attaching to the bottom of the mirror and the ones you ordered recess flush inside the hole. You will just cut the hole for the heaetsink to drop into and the housing will be on the surface.

    You have to run the + wire for the puddle light. The negative is there and shared with the BSM.
