I'm in the same boat actually. I work best under load, so when I got moved a couple years ago into a more-specialized role where theres not a lot of incoming work, I've been struggling. Projects at home not getting done the way they should. Procrastination is a way of life.

Best thing I can tell, for me at least, is the spare time is giving me more time to think, and too much thinking is agitating the depressive side of me. May be time for me to finally go in and talk to someone, similar shit is what led my brother to off himself and it's no doubt I've got some baggage I prolly need to address.

Son has symptoms and tested positive this morning and I'm feeling a little funny so I got a PCR after same at-home test came back negative. It's already made its rounds in my world once, so ... y'all may be seeing a lot of me in the coming days due to sick leave.

Hit a stubborn bolt or have to take some time to think about trading sacrifices, move to something else. Preferably something completely unrelated. Shift gears. Come back with a fresh point of view.

 

Check into it. Some cars the rear calipers have pistons that rotate while they move. My GTI has them, you need a tool that rotates the piston to depress it.

The easy temp fix is drive home and don't use the brakes.

What @Darkness said. Drive home and don't use the front caliper brakes. Drive in first gear going no more than 15 mph and use the e-brake to stop. I should try that sometime.

 

Got both sides done. I told him to fix that intake immediately. He's eating dirt.

 

Were the caliper pins crusty?

 

Thats like rental car skiing. You get a few car and a pair of those trays from a fast food place. Go to a big empty parking lot, put the trays under the rear tires and lock the e brake. Enjoy.

Thats a MAF sensor engine. Grab some duct or gorilla tape and wrap it temporarily. He's running lean with that hole.

So fuel filter, to replace requires removal of the tank? And may as well get a new fuel pump then?

 

Not on an 02, should be under the drivers door on the frame rail.

I started to do mine and the fuel line started twisting instead of the fitting so I skipped it. I'll let the mechanic deal with it.
