If I had that much coin to burn, not sure I’d spend it one someone else’s build.

 

I think it's on par pricing wise. Most likely $250k-$285k cost build new

These dudes spend shit tons of money on stuff. When I was in SD we would see it all the time. I remember back in around 06’ish $30-40k would get you a nice dual sport sand rail with if I remember right like mid 4-5 hundred hp.

Fast forward to now and $30-40k might get a decent sand rail but those prices have shot up to around $250k and over 1100hp. It’s freaking crazy but they are badass.

I always wondered how people could spend that much money on one.

 

Yeah that’s a different level of rich that I don’t think I’ll get to in my lifetime.

 

For sure. There are times where I tell myself I need to donate more, and then there is crazy stuff like that where I panic I’m not saving enough.

My tonneau is traveling from PA and is averaging 217 miles per day. Wow...I'm going to lose my mind.

 

Must be traveling by bicycle…

 

If it’s FedEx, it will take 5 days for the last 150 miles.

 

If it takes a detour to Troutdale you better add on another 5 days.

 

FedEx around here will forget to load it for delivery a few times and then put it on the wrong truck.

 

Seriously. That town sucks nuts for FedEx for some reason

Bored at work and started looking up '22 4R's for sale. Found a few I like:
White TRD Pro @msrp 55.5k
LR Trail edition 44.5k
AG Trail edition 43.8k
The last year of the 4.0 has me like

 

I intentionally don't look at 4R's to keep me honest. Do we know what they're going to power it with in the next gen? Probably a small, boosted motor? Hard to not want to get a proven powerhouse and just ride it until it rusts...

I'm sure I'll be glancing at the new Sequoia when it arrives. Not sure what I'll get next in 1-17 years, but I'm 99% sure it won't be a PRO. Think I'll just get the trim package that has the creature comforts I want and then take it immediately to a shop for a suspension upgrade.

On a separate topic, I'm headed out this afternoon to meet some guy named Micah from your neck of the woods. He's going to be on this side of the mountain and wants to buy my truck box.

Hard to argue against a Pro if you just want to buy and drive.

Well would you look at that. I was looking at the 22 4R a few months ago. Thought ok.. it’s just about everything I’m looking for. Mileage could be better but whatever. What’s better then 1 4R??? 2 4r’s .

But I can’t get over that roof rack. The first thing removed before taking delivery would be that thing. Probably have to go Prinsu and just be done with it.

If I was getting another one I would do the same as the wife. Off Road premium. But we haven’t had any Pro’s ever. Don’t think I would be missing anything.

Didn’t know about the last year of the 4.0. Ours isn’t going anywhere. My 12 year old called dibs for her 1st car. We will see if she gets it. But it’s definitely not going anywhere.

Yeah, that rack would come off immediately. Probably just roll with the crossbars for the traditional look.
ORP is definitely the sweet spot in the lineup.

Who knows though, I struggle with wanting better fuel economy over a bulletproof gas guzzler. I'm also wanting to buy an investment property, so there's that. Casually looked at a duplex recently but they took down the overinflated listing, probably didn't get any bites being so high.

 

I’ve been trying to convince the wife that we don’t need a giant SUV and downsize to a 4R. She like the ones with all the chrome on them though. I’m sure I could still mod and make it cool though.

A 2012 Nissan Armada Platinum which also has a ton of chrome. Has been great to us though. Have had it for about 2.5 years and only put 12k on it. It just rolled over 100k. The extra room was nice when the kids were super little with the bulky car seats, double stroller, etc… but would like to get another Toyota. I can almost sell it for as much as I paid or even a bit more based on what I have been seeing.
