Any way to get more than 10 minutes on accessory mode?

Apologies if this has been answered before but a search got me nada.

Is there any way to get more than 10 #*&#$ minutes on accessory mode? So tired of having to wait for the head unit to reboot every 10 minutes while listening to music or on a zoom call. Appreciate being able to go to Acc mode when shutting the engine off (by shutting engine off without being in park) but even that is a kludgy workaround. Jeez Toyota...

Love this truck but it is the little things like this that drive me nuts.

So when your ACC is on, it shuts off after 10 minutes?

 

Yes, with keyless ignition, it is a button push to go to ACC mode, and it only lasts for 10 minutes.

 

Guessing it's all related to the timed remote start, there may be a fix but???

I'm in a rental Tacoma with keyless ignition.
I've never left it on that long..

 

have you try to put the hand break?

in my case I can't put it in accessory at all. I have not find out how to do that.

 

Try ignition on instead of accessory? Kill your battery faster but we all have dual battery systems, jump packs and solar chargers so I assume you’ll be fine.

 

I came searching for this answer for my 3rd gen so at least you know you are not alone. Holy crap it drives me nuts.

 

Good luck, I was hoping Toyota techstream or something would be able to set a longer timer or limit.

I wasn't able to find any way to get past the 10 min timer on acc. I went to the drive-ins and it was driving me crazy as well finally had to turn it to ignition but that just eventually killed the battery and had to jump start it to go home.

 

I have not had a chance to test it yet but I saw that people shut the vehicle off in drive, shift to park and it keeps the radio/bluetooth on so your call does not disconnect which is what happens in park. They said it stays in ACC mode until you push the start/stop again. I'm going to try it to see if it goes longer than 10 min
