Since I've thankfully been off the last 2 days (took a lay off for Thurs and Fri because of the ice) we had this for dinner tonight.
The second time I made them for the missus.

How to Make the Perfect Chicago-Style Hot Dog (riotfest.org)

    Not my pic..

Wife of 15 years gets a hankering for them from time to time.
I actually bought the buns and weiners Tuesday to cook on the grill in case the power went out, like it did last year in Texas.:eek2:

Pretty damn good, made them with frozen french fries.
Brushed butter on the buns and stuck 'em in the oven to make the poppy seeds stick to them.
I can't find 'sport peppers' here so I used chopped-up pepperoncini.
I use yellow mustard, she is a bit uppity so she uses brown mustard.
I had it with beer, she had it with Merlot, like I stated, uppity..:D

Neither one of us is from Chicago. although my Dad is from Lansing.
She just gets a yearn for them, and I make them.
It is a nice change from the norm.....

For non-sci-fi, go watch Justified. It was 6 seasons, and it was very good. Damages was too. Boss was only two seasons, but it was great.

Less great than Firefly but still good, try The Expanse. Battlestar Glactica was better than meh, but it ended weird. If you want to patronize Disney+, The Mandalorian, Wandavision, and Loki are pretty good.

I watched that live. I loved baseball in the 80's and 90's. Some good moments since then, too.

Baseball and basketball. The two sports where the players are such wimps they need the entire team come come help them fight. :D

I like baseball, it's a fun game though I enjoy playing it more than watching it. Good memories of being a kid and sitting in the Mariners' ballpark with a hot dog and peanuts. Went to half a dozen games or so when I was a kid.

I hate basketball on a fundamental level though. :boink:

I don't watch sports much anymore, but even when I was rabid into watching baseball, football, and hockey; basketball and golf served the same purpose for me. I turned the volume down just enough to have a little white noise so I could nod off into a nap.

@Azblue how long was your mullet back in the day? Mine is getting a little long and unruly! With the wind, and my curls, a little dread started to form yesterday.
Did you use any special mullet sauce to tame it?

Tried to go hiking with some dudes this morning, but none of them showed up.
They said they couldn’t find the spot.
