Baja booking went live and sold out in 1hr. Pops snagged two slots for us in Jan 2023. Time to focus on mods for this trip. Also, if anyone comes across a full caged, linked pre runner tundra/raptor 4x4. Send it my way! We are in the market.

LOL when they got back from this recent trip pops got the green light from the warden for a quote "Jumping Truck" lol

I think my goals shifted slightly for my first trip in Jan. I may keep it mid travel and see how it does while I collect everything for the LT goal. But supporting mods will happen as planned. Unless the pre runner truck purchase happens in time then I may drive that or his rig tbd.

Wow, tires went up $40/each overnight! Sitting at DT for a rotation on the Tundra.
Good thing I'm an old man at heart and had a printout of the tires I wanted.
They had 285/70 Toyo AT3's in stock, they are honoring my quote of $300. Still pricey but I'll take it.

When I was growing up we had friends that did a lot of skiing. They had these boot racks made out of wood and PVC pipe. If I remember correctly, the PVC was mounted to the wood. There were holes cut in the base of the pipe and at the top to allow air flow. Boots were hung upside down. Air would travel up the pipe and then draw moisture out as it flowed down and out of the boot.

Edit...wonder if you could make a base frame out of PVC pipes with holes cut in it so you could set it over a furnace vent and it would draw warm air up into the posts....

Great idea, we throw the kids gloves over the vents all the time. Maybe I need to build a glove warmer.

Good morning guys. Just thought I would ask if anyone has used Carvana for either selling/trading in their vehicle or buying a new one. I was playing around on there last night looking at different vehicles I am interested in. Have to say the looking portion is way better then checking like CL or dealers sites. Decided to see how many Platinum Tundras they had and only showed three. If I could make this transaction without leaving my house that would be freaking awesome!

Oh yeah. For cars(what I was looking at last night) I found a bunch of 2020,2021 Lexus IS350 FSports. Still AWD. Still Toyota/Lexus(obviously). Most with less than 5k for mileage. I also was looking at the 2020,2021 TRD Avalon's. Not AWD. But I could be building in my excuse for not showing up to work when/if snow and ice make their way back.

Other then that I noticed Tesla model Y's must be like Tundras. And after they are used the price goes up 5-10k. Unless I am missing something on the Tesla site for building new ones. And yes I slide the little bar to full price not the kinda misleading gas savings price they list.

The other cool thing was the delivery price was posted right there. So I am assuming if the car is located further the price goes from like free to $250 to like $500. But I didn't look for sure.

Yeah the concept seems cool. Plus they come to you if you want. Not a bad plan.

Thanks! Went with the 285/70 Toyo AT3's on Method 701's, 0 offset. Need to pull the front mud flaps though.

Done.. for now! I'll have a touch more rake than this after I pull the old wheels and tires out of the back, should be perfect. My wife was blown away with the transformation, we're both happy.
