I use my super fancy sunroof. Drop the window and 2 inches and pop the sunroof open. Perfect for those in between temperature days

Wish I had a sunroof. Toyota of Carlsbad are a bunch of liars and can kiss my butt.

Is that a difficult process? Thinking of pulling my seat bottoms for an upcoming trip. Haven't looked into it yet.

Until you go to the big city and find yourself scrapping tires and wheels trying to maneuver your DC through drive thrus and parking garages. Turning radius is a big deal.

Super easy to remove the backseats. Removed mine the first week i owned the truck and never looked back. Already sold the back seats. I love having no back seats, tons of storage back there and suicide doors to make it a really open area to get to tools and stuff.

I absolutely love having my truck as my camping/offroading vehicle. Sometimes for hauling stuff from home depot and such. And then a beater for my daily driving to work and errands. Having 2 used vehicles vs. 1 expensive vehicle makes so much more sense to me.

Plus I can do work on my truck and take my time cuz I have another vehicle to work and get groceries and stuff while the truck is being worked on.

My truck is my less expensive daily driver, guys. I'm not trying to be braggadocious. That's just the reality of my situation.
A truck is a perfect daily in all regards except fuel economy. It hauls me, stuff, bikes, home stuff, other stuff, tows things, has air & cruise and good heat and a decent stereo.
And when the weather clears, it splits daily duties with the sports car.

Fully agree. I barely drive my beater now that I WFH, but it's nice not having to drive the truck when I don't have to.

Tundra has been my daily driver for the past 22 years. I'm not going to drive around in a shoebox to save a couple bucks on gas. There are some things that the Tundra isn't a good fit... like family vacation traveling. My wife has a Sienna for that.

I can see the argument from the other side, but out here it's more than a couple bucks on gas.

Its not just the gas, even though that is a factor for me here in so cal. I just like having my truck fully loaded for camping and offroading pretty much at all times and then a fun zippy little car for getting around town and parking easier and all that. I wouldnt hesitate to daily the tundra, i did for about a year before I got a car from a coworker for super cheap. Now that i have 2 vehicles i dont think ill ever go back to just one.

Exactly! Plus 4 tires for my work matrix cost the price of one tundra tire.

Such a good point! My mitsubishi lancer tires were also about the cost of one tundra all terrain tire

I can also fit a 6’ ladder and all my tools inside the matrix, while getting 35mpg’s. That adds up quick when I drive 100+ miles a day for work.

Kind of the same situation for me. Most of my daily trips are only a few miles with lots of lights and potential traffic. I feel like that puts a lot of wear and tear on the truck.

Driving a lil bitty car around everyday is a great idea…….til you get hit by a truck. I drove a friends mini coop once, and eye level in that novelty was bumper/grill level for the majority of vehicles round here. Oversized SUV’s reign supreme here. I could also reach back and put my hand flat on the rear glass from the driver seat. No bueno. And I like be able to drive up and over curbs, sidewalks, and other obstacles whenever I feel like it. All that being said; smart cars are the stupidest things on the road, and BTW, AC’s are the best trucks all around. Thought that was obvious. Gotta lug a family around? Get a van. Boom….

I like driving my truck daily because if I see someone tossing out something I could fix/use, I'll grab it from the front of their house and toss it in the bed.

    Yeah, I'm that guy. :D

The trucks are for play and work. The Avalon is the daily. It’s better on gas and honestly, better in the snow. (The type of snow we get here) trucks will get moving faster but always stop worse in this mess. FWD sadly is king for ease of winter driving

That being said the tundra is an absolute blast to hoon in the snow

Its a shame we can't have a manual tranny v8 for our truck. No ABS and downshifting in slippery condition works the best (for me at least) to stop quicker.
