Fuck no, weather douche just said 27 tonight!

My special plants are already inside.
I only have about 16" of pipe exposed, plus I'm old and get up enough times to pee in the middle of the night to keep the water flowing from flushing the toilet.
I just have one partially feral cat that I can not convince to come in the house, although I've tried many times. Last time she came in, I shut the back door and she howled like I had kicked it. I do have a heated pet bed that I put in my shed for her if she wants.

Nice, can it come and go as it pleases in the shed?

Lil Sneezers was one of our accounts when I first started out doing commercial restaurant service. This is where I first learned that roaches love electricity; went to open a breaker panel and saw everything moving, slammed it and jumped back! I will also never forget the smell of a family of burnt/burning mice that made a home in a condenser I was changing a compressor on. I was also to young to realize it, but I was definitely being prayed upon by the older Lolitas that populated every store…..
One of our other accounts was Subway
    NEVER GET ICE AT SUBWAY!!!!!!!

I pretty much have to drip every faucet in the house - between the open crawl space and the fact that most of the pipes are on exterior walls, I can't take any chances.

I was gonna say, we used to call it "Little Sleazers" up in Northern Michigan. Must have been a state wide thing.

My house is slump block on a slab, so I only have that small portion of pipe that rises a foot or so before entering the side of the house.

I don't know if I posted this recipe yet but I made Steak Fried Rice tonight. I also used Flank Steak instead of skirt, it's a great cut of beef that a lot of people don't seem to use. The picture doesn't do it justice (because I had already had 2 and a half servings before I took the pic and now I'm noticing it focused on the edge of the wok).

    3 quarts water
    1 ½ cups long-grain white rice
    5 tablespoons soy sauce
    2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha, plus extra for serving
    1 (12-ounce) skirt steak, trimmed
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil, divided
4 scallions, white parts minced, green parts sliced thin on bias
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed

Bring water to boil in large saucepan over high heat. Add rice and cook, stirring occasionally, until just cooked through, about 12 minutes. Drain rice in fine-mesh strainer; set aside. Combine soy sauce, hoisin, and sriracha in bowl; set aside.

Cut steak with grain into 2-inch-wide pieces, then slice pieces thin against grain. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over high heat until just smoking. Add steak and 2 tablespoons soy sauce mixture to skillet and cook until steak is well browned, about 4 minutes. Transfer steak to bowl; set aside.

Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil, scallion whites, and garlic to now-empty skillet and cook until fragrant, about 15 seconds. Stir in rice and remaining soy sauce mixture. Cook, stirring often, until rice is sizzling and popping loudly, about 4 minutes. Push rice to 1 side of skillet. Pour eggs into empty side of skillet and cook until just set, about 1 minute. Stir eggs, steak, scallion greens, and peas and carrots into rice. Serve with extra sriracha.

Where do you usually source your recipes? And are you the main cook in the house?
I really like some of “Hey Grill Hey” stuff, I usually follow most of it and then change a few things at the end

I’ve used the hey grill hey bacon wrapped jalapeño popper stuffed chicken recipe.
Having kids and a busy life, I turned it into a casserole for indoor winter cooking.

I have an app called "Paprika" that I use to clip recipes off of the net. It has an iPhone app with a grocery list thingy on it which is pretty cool and it'll sync with my computer, phone and Mrs. Bandito's phone so she can add to the shopping list. A LOT of my recipes come from Cooks Country/America's Test Kitchen. Getting tired of paying them to use their sites so I've started checking out Food Gawker and have found some pretty good stuff on there. Never heard of Hey Grill Hey - I'll have to check it out.

I'm the main cook unless it's Thanksgiving.

It's good stuff - try it with a flank steak and if you have a wok, it's much easier than doing it in a skillet (in my opinion).

It’s pretty good, and can be made without the jalapeños.
