That's awesome. I was looking at building my own teardrop ground up a few years back but life got in the way. Crazy what they cost to buy, but I think they're a cool package and useful for camping out in the sticks

Finally got a chance to take a photo under normal lighting. It is a limited with TRD off-road.

I have done a chrome delete of the handles and window trim, and took the side emblems off.

Picked my Platinum up yesterday, had them remove all the badges before I even paid for it. Looks so much cleaner in black, with nothing on the sides.

Same, i liked my old platinum badges as well. First two sets I pulled apart and painted gloss black and MGM, last set I smoked with plasitdip and they looked fantastic

I honestly don't think there is a bad colour. They all look great. Some are more understated than others (like grey or black) but they all look good. It's the cosmetic changes from the trim packages that make a bigger difference. This is such a nice looking truck in person, so don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone and get a different colour than you normally would.

How is the wood or plood???? The previous model felt overly cheap and plasticy. How's this one this time around??

Right! I liked the old badges but for whatever reason, Toyota wanted to do these full two-door wide badges with the Platinum. No other trim has these, just the normal TUNDRA or 4x4 on the doors, which looks good. I just couldn't stand the new style Plat badges, so they had to go. Plus, it was really funny watching the sales guys come out to look at it and keep asking if this was the same Platinum that was on the show floor (they only had this and a white TRD at the time) and the GM came out to say that was the first time a customer ever requested badges be removed before they even paid for it. My sales lady took a few pics of it for future customers, because now that dealership wants to offer de-badging as a service.

The wood feels really rich and classy. Actually the entire 1794 interior feels top notch. The leather is supple as well, moreso than the leather that was in my 2017 Limited. Is it Audi quality? No but its on par with what Ive experienced in the Ram and Fords.

It really is dark chrome, the lighting at the dealership makes that look bright, but it's not. It isn't nearly as offensive as regular chrome or I would have plasti-dipped it like my 2011 Tundra.

ya some pics it looks dark and others it looks way lighter.

that wold look really nice full black color match surround , that would take away from having a few too many colors.

    just my subjective opinion.

if I wind up with one of these, I was going platinum as well but the TRD Sport grill and surround will replace the platinum grill and surround. Along with the fender flares and rear tailgate thing. so full color match platinum in blueprint

how about a couple nice shots of the inside? lower light levels with the blue ambient lighting?

I'm going to wait a while until we don't hear any more turbo stuff, my guess is by summer they have it all flushed out

Had them remove the Plat badges before paint treatment. Took these shots yesterday, still might plasti-dip the dark chrome...not sure how I feel about it yet and its gonna rain for the next few days.
