Remind me of the difference because I just thought one was the British spelling and one the American.

Yep, the last time it did, our power grid imploded and people froze to death. At least they fixed it! Oh, wait. Now they are saying it might happen again...

Whisky is Scottish, Canadian and Japanese. Whiskey is American and Irish.

Glenfiddich is whisky. Buffalo Trace is whiskey.

You don’t think the Scottish and the Irish were ever drunk enough to mix the two up?

Ain't that the truth. I swear I'm avoiding and accident every time I'm on the road - usually some jackass drifting into my lane. Yesterday it was a Porsche and some piece of shit racing down the highway. They were probably doing 120 in a 75. I'm not sure what the blue piece of shit was but he missed side swiping me by about 2 inches. If I wouldn't have seen him and drifted just a bit to the left edge of my lane, I'd been crawling over to the wreckage to choke whatever was left of his ass. Then I saw him pass the Porsche on the shoulder.

But you do it for a living, I can't imagine what it's like for you.

^^we get that shit in DFW, too. I was on Central Expressway several years ago near midnight, and a motorcycle passed me in the next lane (I was in the center right, he was center left) doing well over 100mph on one wheel. I was in a Honda Civic. We might have been two of maybe 5 visible cars at that late hour, but if he'd hit me we'd both have been grease spots.

As I say this, though, I remember an ice storm (1989?) when I worked for The Home Depot driving the delivery truck - an 18' flatbed. I was a kid, not that it's an excuse, and nobody was around me; but I fishtailed that thing intentionally on the ice.

Yeah, I did my share of stupid stuff too. When I was 17, some buddies and I were heading down to Florida for Spring Break. I had lied to my parents and said one of my buddies had family down there we'd be staying with. Anyway, it was my turn to drive and we were heading down I-75 in Ohio. I was driving my friend's Ford Taurus and the speedometer was maxed out. The road was wet because it had been raining. I looked away for a second because I had spilt some of my YooHoo on my hand, looked back and we were heading for a guard rail, I over-corrected and we went into a sideways skid into the grassy median separating the North and South lanes. I remember looking and there was some kind of small hill or something in the middle of the median as we were heading for it sideways and thinking "Holy Shit." We hit the hill launched in the air, landed on the other side of the interstate and we were skidding. I slammed on the brake and the car spun around, facing North (the correct way) and took off again to the nearest rest stop where I promptly passed over my driving responsibilities to my buddy. I don't know how we survived that, how we didn't flip when we hit the hill, how the hell we landed facing the right way, and why there just happened to be a break in the traffic so we didn't kill anybody. When we worked our way back to an exit so we could go south again, you could see the ruts in the median where we went skidding and they just stopped right before we hit the hill. We figured somebody's Guardian Angel was working overtime.

Anyway, I learned my lesson. I was always a lot more careful after that day.

I've had more than my share and learned from every one of them. The big one was back in my 100 proof Southern Comfort days. Had about a half a pint and was driving to my friends house. Didn't realize I was drunk until I got pulled over in my buddies driveway and the Michigan State Troopers asked me for my id. When I went to give it to him, I flung it out the window on accident - it was like I was suddenly blitzed.
They ended up telling me they wanted to give me a breathalyzer so I'd know how drunk I was (I've always been cool to officers so I think that worked in my favor). They kept asking me how much I had to drink and I was doing the finger measurement thing showing about 3 inches. I remember doing the breathalyzer and the number kept climbing. They got pissed, and turned it off before it stopped and started yelling at me, "How much did you really have to drink?!" and I kept doing the three inch thing and saying "This much, I swear!" Then one of them says "That much of what?!" and I said "100 Proof SoCo." He said "Oh." Then they made me promise to stay at my buddies house and not to drive drunk ever again. My life would have turned out so much different if those officers wouldn't have been that cool. Also, I never drove drunk ever again. If I had more than a beer in me, I wouldn't get behind the wheel.

Moved my Arm workout up a day because I'm afraid the side porch will be so cold tomorrow, I'd go outside and do the "Florida Iguana" thing.

My post workout smoothie - looks like somebody shit in a jar but kind of tastes like an Oreo Cookie.

I once had a crotch rocket come out of nowhere and pass me on the right when I had my signal light on to move from the centre lane to the right lane. He's just lucky I checked my mirror one extra time before moving over.

Naturally, the left lane was empty, too.
