How well does everyone’s off road model lock in the rear diff? Mine takes awhile to engage. For example if I push the bottom while I’m 4 low on average it probably takes 500 ft at least to engage. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? In neutral or park it doesn’t engage. Has to be rolling. The first time I used it it locked in sooner but it takes a considerable amount of time since then.

Try turning the wheels a little bit as you move. That's what I had to do in my Tacomas. It'll eventually lock

My wife’s 4runner is similar. Not an instant engagement but if we know we are going to be using it we usually have it on prior to needing it

You might need to get a little left/right movement going to get everything to sync up.

i have heard people say that the Ram Powerwagons are an absolute pain to get to lock. They call it the locker dance or something because they have to turn, reverse, go forward, turn some more, etc. My F150 e-locker pretty much is instant. It takes maybe a 1 revolution.

I’ll have to try some of these tricks thanks. Never had lockers before.
