Kinda of agree with everyone's thoughts here on the PRO. I have a spot at a local dealership here and when the prices and gas mileage released today, I am second guessing the PRO trim. Limited Hybrid with Off Road package might be a better value.

If i could find a Gen 3 Raptor for MSRP anywhere, would probably go that route. Way better truck for the money at the moment.

I mean what does the PRO have better then the other trims ? little bit better shocks, fancy lights, fancy camo and a "special" boy racer badging?

These raptor price comparisons are pointless. Nobody is buying a base model raptor.

2.5 gen Pro was a $10k+ appearance package with skids, shocks, and exhaust. I do like the shocks. Kinda like an OEM mid-travel setup.

At least the 3rd gen Pro also has a locker, off-roading cameras, and the more powerful drivetrain to go along with the appearance package.

Alright. I’ll buy one every year then (10k miles) and I should have an extra $160k in my life in 2032 from TRD PRO flipping.

So for around $68,500 I could also do this:

That's with the SLT Premium Package and the Duramax 6.6L.

Forget the truck price - where are you getting $15/lb Ribeyes? Are they Select? They've got to be Select. If they are Prime, I'm heading your way with a couple of coolers.

100% and at some point the economy will tank and Trump/Biden bucks will run out and people will start surrendering their loans and give back their cars. Remember the housing market of 07’-08’. It’s coming for the auto industry.

These are both fictitious trucks. They are not for sale on a dealers lot. If you can find a dealer willing to sell either at MSRP, and the truck can be summoned from the nether world and spoken into existence at that said dealer, you may be able to get one of them for the listed price. And to the OP, yes they are insane. But it’s not their fault. Someone, actually lots of someone’s are not so outraged as you or I and have been and continue to be willing to pay out the nose for these trucks. And this is just the beginning.

Dude I know for a fact the local GMC and Chevy dealers are not marking up trucks, and are both honoring GM Vendor pricing.

I could order that truck tomorrow and wait for it to be built.

These high prices suck but I don't really get the shock. I just priced a similarly spec'd Ram Rebel and it came out to $67,170. In the before times you could probably haggle that down a bit but Toyota is not off with the '22 pricing. It's a shame they're so much but it's not crazy.

Unfortunately in this market if a guy wants to do business with an ethical dealer, you’re going to have to be willing to travel.

All the manufacturers are profiting off the idea of selling 4-5 trucks at full MSRP instead of instead of having to sell 6 at discounts for the same profit. That’s an increase in profit per unit of give or take 20 percent. As long as they can do that they will. They’ve really abandoned the market share race that caused all the incentives in the first place which will only only come back if inventory increases. Old school supply and demand.

We are seeing record inflation that didn’t occur in 07-08. That was a housing bubble, we are seeing something very different this time. Forget all this 7% inflation non sense on media. Real inflation is beyond that and it is going to get worse. My guess- Prices of vehicles will not be coming down, even if vehicle demand dips, inflation will eat up any price decrease

In the next year or two I agree. The Fed is way way behind the curve on raising interest rates. We are probably going to get to enjoy stagflation for awhile. Hooray.

The other lower trims are available with the locker and cameras too, so pretty much the only thing the pro has that the others dont is the upgraded shocks and plastic cool looking trim pieces that probably only cost Toyota a few extra dollars to slap on.
The zr2 is cheaper than the pro and it has front and rear lockers, even more expensive shocks, a lot better approach angles and of course tow hooks.

That’s true for now, but back when things were normal, with the other brands, one could always get incentives along with thousands off those high msrps. With Toyota’s you were lucky to get a little off msrp, if at all. I got my new Sierra for 15k below sticker back in 2019. So if things ever do get close to normal again, those 70k gm’s could be had for a lot less, while Toyota dealers will still be firm at close to msrp like they’ve always been.

they priced the vehicle msrps knowing they would be playing the “incentives” marketing game. I have purchased 3 tundras and paid near invoice for all of them. Never even came close to msrp
