Not horribly loud I think as they get more worn, it got a bit louder. But not extremely loud like I have seen on some other tires. I haven't ever been annoyed by them.

I almost went long bed, come from a family of contractors who only own long beds. Other than reliability, the double cab extra space as compared to a F150 extended cab sold me on a tundra. Fits car seat, hard double gun case, rubbermaid containers great in the back.

Only mods are putting running boards, a headache rack and bed mat on it. Perhaps rod holders for tuna reels as well.

Hmm. I’ve already shared photos in the MGM thread, the scenery thread, the 2.5 gen Tundra thread… I couldn’t possibly share them here, too.

    Oh wait, yes I can!

Truck is looking good! Glad you decided on it. Any clever ideas for the rod holders? There are a few floating around this forum, and the Tacoma forum. I’ve been meaning to start that project.

Then new LED headlights, RC in bumper LED bar, lettering and ICL ceramic coating to preserve my billboard. Next mods as soon as this deep freez goes away is putting tow mirrors on, installing the roadmaster active suspension , putting my adjustable BW hitch on and installing the aluminum Lund wheel well boxes. Ready for the construction season 2022.

I’m not sure yet. Easiest would be mount a six rod holder to the back rack, but that won’t work if I have a canoe up and over the top. So I was also thinking about mounting one of those OEM cargo tie down rails on one of the bed sides at the top inside edge and mounting a six rod rack to that.

Yeah I think that would work. Something like this, but with actual rod holders instead of a piece of wood with hooks:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/bed-rail-system-fishing-rod-rack.86213/

I like the idea of the rod tips running along the inside wall of the bed and tucking up in the space between the bed wall and the side of the toolbox.

Maybe these rod holders running down the inside of the bed wall:
