Don't think it will ever pay off. Better to think about it as just an upgraded engine choice like buying the 6.2 instead of the 5.3 from gm. Should've known, Sweers said it was a power upgrade more than efficiency.

I dont like the fact that if you want the pro you have to get the hybrid. They should at least give the option. In fact, if the hybrid and non hybrid were the same price, id still probably get the non. Less complicated, less weight, and more storage. And i could care less about the extra power, the non hybrid has more than ill use. Im also wondering with the extra weight the hybrid has, it may not even be quicker.

The pro price is a little more than the new zr2. Will be a tough decision, the zr2 has front lockers, arguably better shocks, tow hooks and better angles. The only thing holding it back is the lifter problems their having. Another option is the new at4 with diesel at 60k.

I am in the same boat when it comes to the Hybrid while the power figures are nice the non hybrid will do what I would need it to do based on real world results and the non hybrid will have a higher payload and on this one correct me if I wrong here but I think the max tow rating is with the non hybrid as well. As far as unloaded get up and go the non hybrid is fine if I want more I have a car in my Garage for that.

Can anyone confirm if this option can be added to a base limited 4x4 5.5 bed or it has to be combined with the “loaded” limited package (panoramic roof ect… ) only ?
Thanks for everyone’s time in advance!

that's additional but isn't independent. It's bundled with the loaded.

But can it be added to a base model limited or only added to a “loaded” limited.

I tried adding this with the dealer to a truck I placed a deposit on recently.

He’s indicating only for a loaded limited …

I thought I saw on here a non sunroof model limited order sheet with this option on their build. But not 100% sure. Trying to confirm.

LX600 is midsize so interior space and SRA is a bit cramped to start. Hybrid battery cuts it more. Hybrid battery pack and SRA in the new Sequoia clearly cuts interior room so the LX600 would suffer more.

That’s for sure. Plus the hybrid powertrain is assembled in Alabama. For the LX to have a hybrid option, they would need the engine factory in Japan making the hybrid powertrain. Given that the LC/LX are offered mostly as diesels, it doesn’t make sense to manufacture an additional powertrain just so they could sell 1200 units in USA.

Wow, those MPG numbers are garbage. V6 hybrid for better fuel economy my ass.

Now I know why the Sequoia doesn't come in a standard V6 turbo powertrain pkg

And the Pro is 70k. That's no surprise. That's some big boy pricing for what you can get elsewhere.

I find the capstone to be the bigger bust. It’s like 7k more expensive than a loaded 1794 hybrid.

    And for what?

At least the pro has the integrated light bar, wider body, and red interior.

Fancy leather that is too light in color and will stain immediately? Some stupid 22" wheels that will ruin the ride and utility?

I would likely get a pro if available in 6.5’ bed Double Cab. And no hybrid. The loss of underseat storage alone is not worth it. There’s a ton of room under and behind the seats.

They need the engine numbers of the hybrid. It's all clever marketing to get your 70k.

The Pro is the same marketing sham it was in the previous gen IMO.

Yes and I’ll don’t see what so special about the pro besides an upgraded set of shocks and and few plastic cosmetic changes that probably cost them very little to add on. Probably cost them the same for the plastic pro badging as it does other trims but they charge more for it. Just marketing. I mean it’s not like it has long travel susp like the raptor or trx.

So there’s going to be a Crewmax 5.5’ bed 4x4 iForce Max Tundra with 1,820 lb of payload? If that’s true, maybe my next truck will be a Toyota after all. Not any time soon though.

I have worked with the same tech at my dealership for almost a decade now, we have become friends. He said he wouldn’t touch a new tundra until at least 2024 because it’s 100% new. I take this mans word as gospel when it comes to Toyota.

I have the Limited with the ‘Limited Premium Package’ as part of my build. I wasn’t able to choose it but it came as part of the package and I don’t have a pano roof. It’s possible to get w/o a fully loaded Limited.

What’s funny is Tim and all these YouTube guys made videos for months discussing rumors and leaks surrounding Tundra. But now when one of them has information that gets leaked it’s wrong? Give me a break lol

No big surprise there. The Pro continues to be an overpriced ego satisfying trim level. And with the 3rd gen you now get a second overpriced ego option. Capstone.

you’re not a pro unless you buy a pro.
    you’re just a limited,1794, or platinum.

even if u upgraded the shocks on a limited, 1794, or platinum you would still not be a pro.

But what if they put "PRO" stickers, shift knob, skid plate, etc. On it?...that definitely makes it a "Pro" huh?
