I saw that yesterday. I’m hoping that will be the grill design for ‘23 model. That front end looks so much better and much more natural.

    Either it’s bullshit or it’s a money grab that’ll debut at $100k.

I just read about the 23 sequoia… definitely interested in getting that beast!it’ll have the same goodies as the tundra. The sequoia pro looks legit with the fox suspension, rear lockers, crawl control… and especially with the increase towing cap going to 9k with that twin turbo v6. The wife just submitted that for her Christmas present lol

Yeah the raptor is cool looking and that tundra in the original post is as well but how "practical" is a raptor.... dont know of many people who drive their truck to work and then decide hey lets do some dessert racing this weekend or how about the king of hammers.... the valving in the suspension is designed for high speed off road use not your typical offroader. i live in the midwest so hey maybe on those drunken nights the chisel plowed fields wont feel so rough.... to each their own i guess.

So a friend of mine works for TRD and has driven the "Chase Tundra". They asked him what shocks they should use and he said "..either King or Fox, because if you use Bilstein I know you're not taking this serious and I'll just go home." lol

Anyways, this truck will not be on par with the Raptor. All it will be, parts wise anyways, is a long travel kit built by Camburg and then Toyota will find a supplier for 37" tires.
Mechanically it'll just be a Tundra Pro with an aftermarket long travel kit with TRD branding on it.

My friend also said Toyota was looking at mid-travel version Tundra.

This time last year motor1.com photoshopped a Titan and called it the new Tundra for clicks. Not sure Id completely believe what they say.

Lots of raptors on job sites and ranches out here. Unless you have tow large amounts, they're perfectly practical and better offroad than a factory tundra. Don't knock it til you try it

My suspension is valved for hard landings and its definitely not impractical. That is silly. Raptor jealousy is real.

When you have a 2 hour drive on shitty awful ranch roads to cover every morning and night, youd want a raptor too.

every raptor in my town is owned by an old guy who won't get it dirty. Raptors are cool AF, but stop trying to pretend 95% of their owners use them. Just like the trd pros I see. We all know the truth here, we aren't idiots.

Im not pretending shit, they get used out here. But even if they didnt, it is asinine to say a mid or long travel truck isnt with lockers practical offroad.

What they did with the Sequoia is so much better. That said, the Tundra doesn’t look as bad in person, especially with the color matched surround.

If you live out west I can see these types more useful. Out in the NE there is literally no where to "chase truck" without going to a private place like o'neils driving school. When I see guys out here in them, we know they are just trying to be cool, and it ruins it all. Western guys and mid-west may have more uses I'm sure.

No jealousy here….. I could afford to purchase a raptor but choose not too….. the price for what you get and how it’s designed to be used is NOT PRACTICAL FOR MOST PEOPLE….. key word most…. Most people would be better served buying your everyday 4x4 truck and adding some lockers / mild lift to improve articulation/ larger tires and some skids…. All could be added for far less than the premium charged for the raptor. I am no novice when it comes to being off pavement….. everyone is entitled to their opinion but that should not amount to jealousy or envy. If I were given one I would sell it and do just as described above.
