Another catch can update for future me:

4k miles/5 months, seeing some milkshake sludge on the bottom with these winter temperatures.

Working on a bathroom remodel that I’ve got going and hopefully sneaking away to mod the truck some. Wanting to get rid of all the chrome/silver on the interior. Bought a new shifter to start off the project and going to try and spray paint the little panels that hold the window switches first.

Yes lease buyout is beginning of July. If I buy then list for sale I’m looking at $10-13k in equity(yes on a lease). If I sell, pay off CC, and put a couple thousand down on next vehicle.
Ideally I would end up saving a couple hundred a month on the next purchase between payment and gas. The most rational thing to do would be to go Outback Wilderness. Thanks Casey for recommending it. Never would have thought to look at it. Someone else mentioned the dad wagon craze which is starting to grow on me(just not with all the overland stuff on it). Don’t even get me started on that .

But keeping the truck could be an option. I’m just tired of paying so much money in gas every month. I did just cancel like $150/month in subscriptions…so that’s a start.

Milkshake! I haven't checked mine recently. Think I've put less than 1k miles on it since my first dump. Will check it when I change my oil in 1,3xx miles.

Thanks for reminding me to order one of these lol. I run one on every car we have. I can’t remember the article and ratio exactly but the engine produces X amount of lbs of moisture vapor to Oil vapor so what you’re seeing in the catch can is a large part water moisture than oil. Definitely must have to keep that crap out of the upper intake track.

    Cheers guys!image.jpg

Got the truck box removed and cleaned up today.

Also posted my Cabela’s cooler online. Other than some scratches, it is in great shape. It is the 80qt size. Hit me up if you are interested. B41035BF-54D0-42EA-BACC-5E0B8943D4DF.jpg

Chill weekend so far. Ordered Mexican takeout and margaritas last night. Did some chores this morning before having lunch and drinks at the new Loyal Legion beer hall in Beaverton. Very cool place with a huge selection of beer (82 to choose from by my count) and almost that many whisk(e)y choices. They built a huge outdoor patio that is going to be great this summer.

Kicking back now deciding what to drink for tonight and figuring out some dinner at some point.

Waiting on Diode Dynamics bulbs for the license plate lights and visor lights, should be here Monday. Also, need to install the DD behind the grill light bars.

Pissed away a large portion of the day on frustration. We need to finish out our closet (been in the house 16 years).

A while back, we had looked at the Ikea PAX system, which you can get in a 22” deep option. Got the design all finalized this morning and went to order - can’t be ordered because it’s not in stock…ANYWHERE! Apparently, they haven’t had stock on over a year and best estimate is summer 2023. :annoyed:

So then I go down a rabbit hole looking at other options and nothing else is 22” deep (most are ~16”). So now I’m back to building them myself from scratch, so I need to get my basement woodshop set up for building large casework and that’ll be the rest of my winter…

I did manage to get the car stereo installed that I got my daughter for Christmas installed in her car so that she’ll have CarPlay in her car

So the other day I was trying to figure out how to make a Keto version of a Philly Cheesesteak. I searched the internet, watched videos and got pissed more times then I care to admit. I can’t believe how many people ruined that sandwich. Now admittedly I was looking for an alternative to the bun. Todays crazy wind and rain caused me to stay inside. My little Blackstone wouldn’t have stayed hot enough to put in the work. So I went cast iron and finished in the oven in a bbq pan. Pics because this turned out freaking amazing!!

Thank you. Your not wrong about the crap intake. We have been going through a huge house remodel. My gym has been blocked, covered with furniture, or just no available time for the last like six months. I have finally been consistent about working out for a couple weeks. Never done this keto thing before so I figured let’s see what all the rave is about. Did paleo years ago for like nine months. Felt amazing.

PS. If anyone was wondering about the steak it’s from Costco. They have been thinly slicing NY strips for like a month now. I have been thinking about just buying 1 or 2 packages every time I’m in there.

Completed a random project today. I built my ski boot/glove dryer project v2. I love the challenge of building something from scratch when you can’t find anyone that makes what you want. I built the first one when I was 14 years old. Turns out the second version, 21 years later is only slightly more thought out than the first. I added heat this go around. Super helpful on back to back ski days with the kids.D7B7A202-8420-499C-B1CB-D854C38887B1.jpg 05D00F04-F568-493A-A5DF-473CD3237ACD.jpg

Wish me luck on yet another “attempt” at wiring. Aux fuse box. I have read and watched YouTube videos until my eyes of bled (again). Me and electric just do not get get along no matter how hard I have tried through the years. It just won’t sink in! But the birds nest of accessory wires has to be cleaned up.

Need to order tires soon for the Sequoia, prices have gone up $21/tire since I looked them up a couple weeks ago.

Still can't decide between the skinny 255/80's or 285/70's. Both are right around 33" tall, 4lbs less per tire for the skinnies. OR bump up to 285/75's @ almost 34" tall.:frusty:

Its basically a box tube built with PVC sheet. It has a fan on the end, that blows air into the box tube and out the non-split wire loom into the boots. It helps dry them out and keep them stinky free. I should have taken progress pictures while building. Many boot dryers on the market only have heat, and as we all know, if you can get some air movement it will help the dry out process.

I got the wrath last night from the old lady lol "Can you just chill on parts"? " You've had the truck maybe 3 weeks" lol. So I'll take a break (until next month for bumpers and 37s) hahah
