Looking into purchasing a set of these. Just wondering what the times are if I ordered a set of the bare aluminium front and rear?

    Can’t wait much longer?

So like most everyone else in this thread you’ve waited 2-3 months for a quality product done by 1 person doing his best to manage supply chain issues, and get the products out as fast as he can and at least he communicates constantly.

So your comments over the last few times are vailed threats as if you’re going to have to cancel your order, why? What’s another 1,2,3 weeks if needed at this point? The whole reason I’m sure you bought this was the quality and protection it offers over generic cheap ones that mostly don’t even cover all the cats, and are not the same quality, so you’re going to throw away the 2 months you’ve waited already?

Personally, I think that you should mind your own business!!

and for your information, my cats were stolen in November!! My truck has been sitting for almost that time before the dealership replaced them. I’ve no intentions of driving it back to work where they were stolen until I get the shields. Please stay in your lane!! Thanks.

If you don’t want to be questioned after seeing you post constantly in such a manner, maybe just pm him instead of asking him in what comes off as aggressive in the thread.

HAHAHA, My thoughts exactly. Dude you're on a public forum calling out a one man operation @Classy63 , who has open communication about what is going on with the metal shortages and having to replace people helping him out, then you also need to be prepared to have yourself called out for what looks like a semi - aggressive move, or what some may consider you throwing a 3 year old temper tantrum because your not getting your way of having a product you ordered in your hands "now". I would say we all have waited long times for a quality product to help protect our cats. And I am sorry that you and many other have lost their cats recently, I know its frustrating and a pain in the arse, but Tyler is a good guy, (I know I have met with him on a couple occasions) and he is about getting out a quality product not pumping out quantity and that take time. Be patient my friend and you will get your plates.

Hello guys, does anyone know if these plates will fit with 6” readylift? Went through all 110 pages and didn’t see any undercarriage that looked like mines. 1 was closeC0A1B75C-378F-46C2-98AD-E42009D4FF87.jpg

I’m sure @Classy63 can chime in for sure, but according to his website the 6-8in lift plates include the readylift system, so unless yours has a unique setup to it, you should be fine in aluminum or steel, just need to select the lift version instead of the basic sets.

The 4x4 option adds a spacer that lowers the plate to make sure the half shaft doesn’t come in contact with the plate

Sorry ask, but I only ordered last week. Am I also in for a 4-8 week delay or did your recent arrivals help the backlog?

I have so much coming in the next week that it will kill almost all of the back log. Granted it will take some time to powder coat (those that are getting powder coated) and to ship them all. Because I am a gluten for punishment, I will be placing another order for plates to be made next week, but it gets messy with some many things in motion. I don’t want to give a false date, as it seems to irritate everyone when that date comes and goes. What I will say is my back log is going to die and my lead times will be better than ever.

ALSO! My second prototype for the 2022 tundra cat plate will be done likely tomorrow. A quick test fit and it will go get powder coated, some pictures taken and then on the website. From ALL of my competitors I have seen making a 2022 plate, they are following closely to my design but they all fall short, I will explain further when it is done.

One last question, will your front skid plates fit the 6” lift, thinking about getting the whole package @Classy63

That’s fair, but have you ordered almost anything custom, and or out of stock that has a time frame lately? Tires, suspension, anything for a house like a door? You are spelling out what the whole country is dealing with, people ordering icons when they say in stock, and still waiting 6 months for a shipping notice.

What I am saying is, he is being aggressive in his approach rather it’s because he is frustrated, anxious, or just his character, there are better means of communication, like just Pming classy all together, if he doesn’t want others judging him or questioning him.

The guy is not at a 3 month wait though, he’s just over 2 months, which most people that check this thread and learn about the product and ask questions roughly find out and see the average order to delivery time is in this 2 month time frame when things are going well with supplies etc. Classy has been very upfront with all delays, it sounds like you are Saying it’s better to be like larger companies and just say it’s delayed and not sure when. I’m sure when he says 1 more week he really thinks its 1 more week, he can’t help that then a laser cutter cuts something wrong or a shipment gets delayed due to weather etc. which then adds another time line change.

The bottom line is I’d rather be sticking up for classy and his business based on communication, quality product, transparency and willing to help and make things right, versus someone coming on and posting aggressive versus pming him and having a conversation if he is that upset.

I fully support Tyler and what he is doing. The challenges he has had are significant and a difficult process to manage. With that said, those complaining about the long wait do have a point. It would be ok if the original stated lead times were given accurate at about 2 months. Then people can expect an accurate delivery. However the stated lead time is generally given at around 3-4 weeks which has not been accurate from the beginning. Personally, my 3 week lead time ended up being 3 months. We have all heard “I’ll finally be caught up” many times in the past. Again, not knocking Tyler for he’s doing the beat he can and I appreciate his efforts. Just be straight up on lead times. I’ve had many discussions with Tyler in the past and suggested to not “Over promise and under deliver, but rather under promise and over deliver”. No flames please, just offering some biz advice based on decades of experience.

Was able to get the front on today, fit like a glove, the nut plate worked awesome. Was going to take a photo during install but wanted to be finished laying on ice. Hardest part was removing the RCI hardware as one of the carriage bolts dropped a little and started to round out the square hole in the plate.

Only complaint I have is the bolts could be a little shorter, takes a while to get past all the unused thread (if there were no washers the rear bolts would have shank showing above the frame rail). Obviously I have the thinner gage plate, the thicker ones would take up more bolt length.

Might be more obvious when I start installing the rear, but what is the 3rd washer for?

It is a safety net in case the plate doesn’t fit quite right, you can put it between the Z bracket and the plate.

As far as the length of the bolt, I send 4” bolts with front/rear orders, with the rear plate installed, you won’t have an issue.

Alright. Since this has become a big deal, here we go.

Please don’t belittle someone because they want their order, I missed the date, they do have a right to be irritated. I hate missing the dates I want to hit. I give the best information I can. Coming from a 5 month backlog to 2 month (except for a few orders) took a giant leap on my part. That back log is of course getting better and better.

So, in an Amazon world, where you have prime delivery, it is hard to appease everyone. If I told people 2 months, I am sure it would scare a lot of people away… I have most of the aluminum order home and the steel order is cut, but needs to be bent. I will be shipping my ass off all week and probably the week after too.

I will be placing a new order for everything that the aluminum and steel order don’t cover. But I am hoping to have the 2022 plate done and maybe get some orders for it with that batch

If you have an order before the new year, expect a shipping notification in the next 2 weeks (except for some odd ball orders)

I completely understand your fear of this, but honestly I don’t think that would be true. You don’t see the bumper or rack folks underestimating their lead times. They put out there what the actual delivery time is and people buy their product because they want their product. You’ve built up a reputation for a solid product with a straight up owner. You are the only outfit to offer the options you do. Pick the material (steel or aluminum), select the thickness, select your powder coat or not, select your color and even your mounting option. So yes, this takes additional time. You have a large backing so fear not. Personally, I think a good option on the lead time question would be something like, currently running about 8 weeks but have plans and processes in place that should reduce it to half. This conveys your goals as well as the reality of it. Keep on rolling Brother, life is good.
