Extra Plug on Anzo headlights w/ DRL?

Installing my Anzo headlights. Ordered the ones with DRL's as I thought thats what I needed.
When I go to plug them in I have one plug and long cable coming from Low beam area on HL's that I have no corresponding plug on the truck for. Anyone know where I plug this? I'm starting to wonder if I have right lights.
below are pics, plug at end of black cable is the offender.

 

Well , I ended up taping it off and to the back of the fixture,not using it. Everything works as it should, so I guess I'm good to go.

anyone with anzo's have this additional plug?

Those look awesome. I'll be the first one to ask.... Think you could post a cutoff at night? I'm curious on these vs the Spyders, and havent found anything that shows a cutoff.

No , the level motor won't work on these since each light has 2 levelers. One for high beam and one for low.

 

Looks awesome! Thinking about put the anzo on my 2017 tundra limited. did the extra DRL plug affect your headlight function? what is running as the daytime running light, the bar? the U?, in place of the factory amber light that dubs as turn signal?

do you know if aftermarket LED bulbs will work on the anzo?

 

Did not cause any problems. Its for the platinum lights. The amber led lower bars are the DRL and turn signals. Not sure about LED replacements.

 

i have the 2017 tundra limited w just the amber drl that dubs as the blinkers. would you suggest getting the anzo with out the drl option?

Hey Dan. Do the U bar lights run All the time or just with parking lights and headlights on. Gettin some headlights soon and its these or the spyders. Thanks.

i found the anzo to be the same, or even dimmer, than the stock headlights. ended up replacing it with the sypders

So envious. I've been eyeing these as my next set of headlights for a while now. Everyone and their mother has the Spyders and my is are already fucked.

 

true, spyders are pretty common. i did really like the anzo U bar design, just couldn't make it work for me. good luck

 

I'd say the are equal to my OE headlights.
And let's face they look better than any I've seen except some retro's, and they seem to be a big ass pain.

Hate to blow my on "Horn" , but when I look at that picture, all I can think of is "Sexy".

 

I emailed anzo and asked what light frequency the hi and low beam are. They look around 4k or 5k in the pics with that slightly yellow hue. I'm really liking these but will want the light output to match the u bar color. Maybe 7k or 8k? I'll post their response when I get it.

 

Did you ever get a response? Is there a way to install a brighter bulb on the projector?

 

Hi Ed. Never got a response but I am sure the bulbs are accessible to be replaced....you would think. It looks like it from the pics of the rear. They are halogen H1 and H7 bulbs.

 

Hey Dan. How are the headlights holding up? Any fogging and also did you do anything to reinforce the factory seals before install?
I think there are a few sites selling these that are using your truck pics also.

Holding up well, still look brand new. I didn't do anything but install them. I may change the bulbs to stronger ones but they are fine as is. Only set I've seen in person too, so my Tundra is different than all others around here,lol.

 

Thanks for the reply Dan. Its all I can do to keep from 1 click ordering these. I'm on the V Beach side so you won't see me, promise. I changed my factory bulbs and fogs to halogen 7500k super whites and they look great. Same coverage as oem but brighter. Yours are H7 and H1 on the anzo. Here is the brand I used and the bulb specs on yours. Happy thanksgiving.
