What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Done today and yesterday:

Changed the oil, front/rear diff and trans case fluids.

Removed fender flares and had the wrap re-done

got a full clay bar and sealer detail done.

Finally received my RSB after ordering on Black Friday. Painted the hardware black. Haven’t drove it yet so can’t give a review yet.

 

Still no response from MESO about how to dim the lights…

Got my Meso's installed, wife said those are bright! Super easy install didn't;t even have to remove the whole consol. Just popped out the old lights and plugged in the new ones.

 

Don’t think anyone is getting racks, the recall went out, but the letters and info aren’t going out till February. Then it’s an inspection based on if your vehicle fell within a certain production time frame, and then only if it shows sign of the part showing defect, the replace the single part not the entire rack system.

 

No the trouble is I'm too tall. Reclining seat back more.. One makes it not ideal and takes away from my boys space in back.. Thing with tall ppl. And I believe at 6'5 I am the "shortest" of tall category.. We are constantly having to make due or do things slightly not normal to make things work.. Tired of that.. Like having to buy XXL just to get length in a jacket. When width I'm only a large.

We only use the heater while we are awake. Rely on our 0 degree bags to keep us warm while sleeping. Plan on getting a diesel heater to avoid condensation with the propane setup. Still pondering how to route the diesel heater into the shell. Have pet screens on the windows that I’d like to preserve.

This thing with the headlights doesn't make much sense to me. What I hear them saying is "We'll inspect your lights, and if your truck hasn't caught fire and burned up yet, then you're good to go". Suppose someone doesn't use their lights much, goes in for an inspection and everything looks good, then starts using their lights more for whatever reason and has fire because of the defect? Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like there is a defect then the defective part should be replaced before anything can happen.

 

After 8 months of waiting my custom plates finally showed up!

Not sure why you tagged me, I wasn’t talking about his issues with the lights, I was discussing how he was saying that a more recent recall for the power steering rack was getting fixed almost immediately opposed to the drawn out process/time line of the headlight recall, It’s different then the lights, because they have a production time line of when the machinery tool went out of spec and how many vehicles/vin’s were and could of been effected.

 

Exact set I wanted when they were running the group buy a few months back, just never got around to pulling the trigger on the deal. They look really good.

 

California makes most of their license plates using prison labor. Just like everything these days they blame Covid on the delays

 

Yeah I missed the group buy too, luckily snagged some during the Black Friday sale. I got to see their 4Runner and Taco sliders at Overland Expo in Flagstaff before purchasing. They’re a great company with great people working there.

Foglight question. There is a local pair of 2019 Pro Rigid fogs & bezels for $500 C. Worth the upgrade to swap my 2020 Sports leds?

 

I'm hoping to get mine on this coming week. I'm not entirely sure I need them in any way though

 

The TRD Pro fogs seem to be MUCH better than the regular LED fogs. Whether they’re worth $500, I don’t know. What does a set of good aftermarket ones like Diode Dynamics run?

 

I believed I payed ~350 for my new BD SAE fog light kit. 500 seems steep but I have no clue.
