Yep. Started out in '78 on Conrail as a Signal Helper in the ditch and retired in '18 as Chief Engineer Communications & Signals for the OHCR. Retired 3 years now and still hate trains. Dirty, greasy, nasty, noisy and ugly.

We recently acquired a new Fluke 8588A long scale high precision reference DMM. $17K. Best in class. Better DC volts stability than our very decent Keysight 3458A LSHP DMM's. 1yr DCV stability is 2.7uV/V at 95% confidence level and 24hr is 0.5uV/V at 95%. Damn good. Using this 8588A to cross check a couple of our Fluke 5522A calibrator's that are back from calibration.

I've been in this world for 35 plus years, looking forward to retirement in 5 or 6.
Many years ago when I was a designer I created the single use sauce cups that McDonald's and most other fast food places still use.

Yeah, that's just one series of single use containers that I designed. I've designed/engineered many of those types of containers over the years.
All of them very recyclable too. Not like paper products that can't be recycled.

Having a good time tinkering in my shed building a model railroad for my grandsons when they get older but until that time I get to play with it! Been able to be with the grandkids so much more where they've gotten to know their pappy and me to know them, they totally wear me out and I think I've lost a few years off my life with the things they do  at times.

Also took on a contracting job building 2-way radio networks, no benefits but darn good pay and I have the option to investigate RFI issues in CA if I want...so far I don't want!
