Pfft. Delivery baby! We get boxes every few days from Target.

We only go to the store every few months when things are needed ASAP. I wait in the truck…there’s something about that store that makes me want to rampage

    Ha!

Our neighbors joke that if they don’t see Amazon/UPS/FedEx stop by our house every couple days they get concerned something has happened to us.

:fistbump: My thoughts exactly. Just don’t let her find out when the truck orders are more expensive than the Target ones.

Post Baja Trip Update- Couple casualties during the run one blown front axle, One hard off course (needs new bumper, fenders etc). No issues for pops' rig outside of a random blown fuse powering the LP9's. He's now confirmed he needs a big brake kit to cope with the mass of the rig.So he'll be moving to 18s to accommodate .Also looking into re enforcing the bed for the GFC camper. I'm looking into the Powerbrake kit for him. I might be getting his 17" setup but tbd on that.

Thats a great question...let me see if I can find my receipt as the wife isn't here and I don't remember off the top of my head.

Edit: Ok found it. On my 14 I was running on some 275/55/18 Wrangler Duratrac's. Pic for reference

They rubbed pretty bad as Beaverton Toyota only cared about BroRunners. The wheels came on it.

The wife is running 285/70/17 Wrangler Ultra Terrain. Pic for reference.

    Just kidding.

Oh....I feel this one. My wife, 11yr old daughter, and 9yr old son have stitch fix. I wasn't aware of the kids till she "messed up" the timing of the deliveries and we got all three of them on the same day. I freaking lost it. Almost $400 on freaking clothes at once.:violent:

I also wasn't a fan of those. I ended up just slightly bending up the sheet metal to snake a small Snap-On ratchet wrench in there. I had two friends from work here with tools. That was the first time I saw the benefit in paying stupid prices for tools.
Then trying to figure out which way to orient the rear shock was dumb as the bottom mount is offset. Man i was getting frustrated.

The only issue i had with the front was being insanely careful with the axles as to not separate them. Other then that no problem. The UCA bolt can be a bit tricky if you are by yourself....if you haven't gotten that far.

Also I originally wanted the AT3's, but they were out of stock when I bought the tires.

Looks great! I'm between 285/70 and 285/75 right now. I think the Sequoia has a bigger wheel well so I'm leaning towards the 75's

Well I think I've taken on more than I should of in my garage. The LCA cam bolts were froze in place, had to use Diablo blades to cut them off.
UCA came out easy, there was plenty of room for the long bolt to come out.
I can't for the life of me press out the old upper ball joints from the spindle, the rental tool kit ain't cutting it.

Which "HD Harness from Diode Dynamics" did you use? I don't see a Tundra kit on their site. Love my SS3 fogs from them!

Nothing wrong with that! I paid someone to do my front suspension too. Have a buddy that installs lift kits on sprinter vans for a living. Could I have done it myself, sure, but some of the best money I spent so I didn’t have to. I’m also sure I avoided some arguments with the misses that way too.

Yeah, I'm not beating myself up too bad about it. Doing everything but axles is a big job, I'm glad I gave it a go. :D
Little to no rust on the rig, but it is 18 y/o now so things don't budge easy!

FYI. I’m going to be posting my Weather Guard truck box up for sale in a few weeks. I’m looking to make some changes in my gear storage and I’ll need to sell it to appease the Home CFO. It is the 126-5-02 model, which is basically the same as the -03 (current production). You regulars get first dibs if interested. PM if interested 682FC239-05E4-4846-A17E-1AA9C985A237.jpg

Glad to see the sun out the last couple of days but it’s still not warm! Got the truck cleaned up a bit during lunch break and my hands about froze!

Thought about running mine through the car wash today. Ultimately I was too lazy to drive down there. Maybe next weekend.

Man, we have been too quiet this week. Post up the weekend plans bitches!

I’m beers deep into a sushi bender. Will need you all to be quiet tomorrow morning please.

Truck box is officially posted on the forum. I’ve been watching the “outlet” section at Diamondback covers for a few weeks and they posted something today that I jumped on. Wife wasn’t happy about that, buuuuuut I think the sushi dinner without the spawns helped.

Just doing chores tomorrow and as much as I dislike football, think I’m relaxing and watching the games on Sunday

I’ve been down for the count this week. Got nailed with nasty cold (not the Rona). Slowly getting back. Sold the roof rack and snagged some brand new bed stiffeners and AJT black handles. Chrome delete parts should be here Monday.

Tomorrow I’m removing the brand new skid plates I have on the wrangler since I found a buyer. That cash will go either a new TRD grill or go towards the front and rear bumper upgrades. Haven’t decided yet.

Also sourced the old man an Alcon BBK kit for his rig should be there next week. Interested to see how that goes

Sad to say but I'm back at work tonight after a week off, I'll keep quiet tomorrow

Did you go standard load capacity on the Diamondback? I go back and forth on that or a canopy for my needs.

Not to much. Back to work tomorrow morning. Still trying to figure out the next vehicle situation. I think I have it narrowed down then a curve ball gets thrown in. I’m even contemplating keeping the Tundra. It fits every need…except mileage. But maybe I can live with that. Still 5 months to go. Guess we will see.

Unrelated I’m trying to figure out a way to make a Keto version of a Philly cheesesteak. I’m thinking either just build it like a lasagna in pan and bake it in the oven after I cook up the sliced steak. Or just sauté everything up and put the awesomeness in a giant buckwheat tortilla.:monocle:

Hope you guys have a great weekend.

They have SE (400 lbs) and HD (1,600 lbs). What do you define as standard?

I got the HD. The SE would have been adequate for my needs, but I wanted all of the tie downs that come with the HD. So when this HD appeared at a SE price, I snatched it. Not damaged, just a heavy application of the black bed liner that apparently has a drip somewhere and washes out the logo in the back.

Standard=SE. Wasn't sure how they classified them.
That's awesome man, I would go HD also for the tie downs and for hauling my 4wheeler if needed.

So is the next car about saving money or reducing emissions? Cuz if it is just about the Benjamins then won’t the truck be the most cost effective?

Wait, you have a lease buyout coming up right? So there is cash on the line.

Yeah, makes sense. I'm tossed, so didn't want to assume...

All I need is a means to strap down a cooler or two and some gear. But the tie downs on the SE are limited and poorly located. They sell extras, but at $60 for four, I'm slowly creeping into the HD price point to get the same as the HD. Then I realize that 400lbs is only me and one other drunk friend and I realize that's prob not enough capacity for a camping evening when "rowdy" shows up...

There are a couple of SE's on CL and OfferUp that I've been watching. I'd own one right now if either seller had a reasonable price. I didn't fully dick-face them with a low-ball offer, but they were asking almost new prices. If you start stupid high, I'm starting stupid low...meh. Their loss; my win.

I would probably already have a DB cover if it weren't for my dogs, that's what has me leaning towards a canopy. I wonder if you can drive around town (<50mph) with a lid up on the DB?

Dude, I feel you. I've had both canopies and DBs on previous trucks. Each has its Pros and Cons. I had DB on my F350. When the lids are open they are only held up by two shocks. No kind of locking mechanism. The lids fold back and lie flat if you just pop off the shocks. They are light enough to catch a breeze and flip over, so I just kept a bungie handy and strapped it down between two cleats. Wouldn't run freeway speeds like that, but perfect for around town. Can send you pics of what I'm talking about in a few weeks if you want...
