Beautiful.....is it just a coincidence of color choice that it comes out color matched? Looks great

Being a limited, the flares are painted a grey color. On all body colors. Platinum's flares are gloss black, SR5 are natural black, Sports are body color matched, SR has none. 1794's not sure. And getting the TRD OR on a LTD or 1794 , not sure.

No comparison. Tundra way more truck in every way. Drinks more fuel as you can expect but not in the same league.

Worse MPG than a Tacoma? I get 16-20mpg in my bone stock ‘20 AC Taco. How’s your MPG looking in your ‘22 Tundra?

I got 18-20 in the taco. I only a week on so early yet but getting 16.6 mpg in the tundra. It will improve in warmer weather I am sure. On highway I was seeing real time mpg showing 21mpg on computer after reset. 50 mile trip.

Finally - flew to the dealership city. They picked me up. Total Cost was exactly what they said it would be. 320 miles - home. First observations
    1. There is some wind noise around the front pillar. I don't believe it is a weather stripping issue. Just a little more wind noise then I am used to.
    2. Everytime I start the car it is asking me for my PIN number to connect to my PIN number. Not sure how to fix that
    3. Steering wheel heater is fine
    4. Some lights are not super bright but they are ok
    5. I really miss the puddle lights on the side Mirrors.
    6. A very pleasant surprise. You can turn the bed camera on when you are doing 70 mph.

You need to link one of the key fobs to your account and use that key fob only without the other in the truck. Then your profile will load automatically.
Enter the truck with a key fob, start the truck and go into settings. Can’t recall exactly. But I think it’s in manage account or something. “Link key fob”

True that! And MGM is a sweet color, particularly in an off-road config. Get a leveling kit or slight lift and it is an imposing presence IMHO.

I owned a '84 Supra and have always regretted selling it. At the time, it was an amazing car IMO and damn good looking. I'm 59 yrs old now and when the new one was coming out, I considered passing on the new Tundra in order to buy a Supra, but also buying a used Tundra in 4WD (mine is 2WD). I love the new Supra and if I could have both that would definitely be my combination. Congrats on the awesome combo! I'm envious.

I couldn't agree more re: silver. My brother has had 2 Gen1 Tundras and 1 4Runner in silver - wasn't a bad color, just didn't do it for me. Now, the Celestial Silver is tempting - particularly in a TRD OR config with the black wheels. But I'm struggling with my color choice: Red, MGM, Blueprint. I guess I'll have to see them in person to make up my mind.

Do the wraps hold up well? Can you tell that it's a wrap versus painted? I really don't want chrome on mine and is one of the reasons I like the Platinum. BUT, I also really want the TRD OR package. Damn, Toyota isn't making my decision very easy.

Is there a transmission temp gauge? I have one in my '07 and had hoped the new MY would have it.

And can the bed step be added to other trims after-the-fact? Like, is the wiring there on a Limited or 1794 TRD OR?

Very nice and congrats! The SR5 TRD OR may be the best looking. I just wish I could get Platinum or 1794 features with it.

True. When I permanently move to my mountain cabin, I'll be building a garage so that the truck does fit. :)

Congrats on your new arrival. I'm also in the black-out camp, but that chrome looks just fine on that 1794! Which interior color did you get - saddle or cream?

Sweet! Is that black, blueprint, mesquite? Hard to tell in the light.
