Meanwhile, our graders are blocking traffic at rush hour so they can scrape bare pavement.

 

Will you be able to make it home when shift ends?
What will you be doing tomorrow at work besides staying warm?

 

I’ll be plowing the roadways and parking lots through the storm. Guaranteed 8 hours, plow until storms end. Probably some hours racked out in the Recliner by the wood furnace in the office, might not be home until sometime Sunday.

 

Will people actually visit the park during the storm, or is this to help for later when the park will see visitors?
I don’t know if it was a Friday thing, or the allergy meds I took this morning, I wanted to nap all day! We had a pretty nasty mold call at the end of the day from a leaky actuator. That was the extent of my day…….

Pretty damn sweet, I have to say.

 

The park will be “closed” throughout the storm, but people will still find their way in, which is kind of a pain as the usually don’t move and you try not to hit or bury them with the plow. Park will open as soon as it’s safe to do so (as long as it’s normal operating hours).
The park I run right now is in a fairly urban area, lots of houses abutting the park

 

You know how you say you’d melt above 77 degrees, im like your bizzaro, I’d literally have convulsions and probably freeze because I couldn’t start my truck, when temps get below………..31 or so
It was only in the 50s the other day, and I forgot my sweatshirt, I was worthless, i usually refuse and turn off everyone’s heater in the shop; damn circuit breakers tripped on the one closest to me, I was sad and cold!

My truck has remote started at -40 even without having the block heater plugged in. Did you recently start driving a Ford or something?

50 to 55 degrees is my happy place, especially if the sun is shining. Windows on the truck rolled down, sunroof open, tunes cranked.

 

Living in the Industrial Heartland has its advantages.

 

I'll keep my unplower roads. Couldn't pay me enough to live there. I turned down a $50/hr job because I'd have to move to Edmonton. LOL

I really think we need to start a Tundras exchange program. I go somewhere like Arizona in the middle of summer and someone from there comes up here during a cold snap in winter.
