Finally got my 2inch front level kit installed. Can’t tell a whole lot of difference but it will allow me some room to go bigger on the tires. B7864CE0-E4BD-4AD3-8866-7FF90226B037.jpg A7C98CC9-34D5-44FF-8BAC-04317B45A251.jpg

Nice! I’m guessing you did the RC leveling kit? Did you do it yourself? What tire size you going with? Are you sticking to the stock 18” rims or going aftermarket?

I’m thinking of doing the same. Your truck and mine are nearly twins except I’m running a DC vs the CM.

I've ask this question now several times an no one seems to answer but can you tell me if the rear of the truck self leveled (if you have the rear lift system) when you installed the front lift or did you have to adjust the level sensors in the rear airbags?

I actually got the kit from a shop here in Texas called Blackjack Speed Shop. They fabricate the part themselves and do the install in about 3 hours with alignment included. I hope to eventually get some Nitto ridge grapplers, 35’s with some Fuel rims once the budget allows.

YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY ADJUST IT, it does not auto sense it

Please for the love of god get something besides Fuel rims. 1) every vehicle has them 2) they are some of the heaviest wheels on the market- make for poor mpg's and poor handling. Fuel wheels cost way too much for what they are

Not yet an owner but from my close-up look at the rear air suspension at the auto show and other comments on this site, I think the rear height sensor only detects and adjusts for distance between the rear axle and the frame above it. Therefore, changing the pitch of the frame compared to the rear axle slightly by installing a front leveling kit would essentially result in no change in auto adjustment of the rear suspension.

However, if someone wanted to put some additional height in the rear also, there is an adjustment on the rear air sensor arms that allows this. Another member (without a leveling kit) already adjusted his rear suspension height this way.

Here's a pic of that sensor arm with the adjustment slot.PXL_20220116_192034526.jpg

Ok thanks thats what I was thinking too and have actually adjusted it thinking it would raise and Stay in that position but have only gotten about 3/4" higher in the rear. I did adjust the rod all the way in the up position though so maybe there is a sweet spot somewhere in there to get the highest position..?

That's interesting. I would have thought you would get more than 3/4" difference off that adjustment. Do you know if you were already closer to the upper limit? Or are you carrying some extra weight (tonneau cover, truck box, bed mat, etc.) beyond stock?

Wish I already had a truck to do my own tests but leaning towards the hybrid. I guess I'll determine that decision next week?

In the meantime, any knowledge you can share on your air suspension experience is much appreciated!

Random question for you all (not sure of this is the right thread). I just got some black Tundra/V8/SR5 emblem overlays, and I'm curious what cleaning solution to use to clean the exiting ones so that I can place the new black ones on top? Can I just use rubbing alcohol?

My surface prep for anything having to do with 3M-type adhesive (typically used on badge overlays, etc) has been to just clean the area with water and a microfiber cloth to get the visible dirt/dust off of it first and then wipe the surface with a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. Once the alcohol evaporates...you're good to go.

Anything involving paint, Raptor/Rhino liner, or "plasti-dip"-type stuff involves legit degreasers and is much more complicated.

can I ask you a favor? I have a predator that doesn't have a box so I'm not sure if it's for double cab or crewmax. The truck I ordered is not here yet so there is no way of checking if it fits. Can you by any chance measure the predator step from tip to tip so I can check if this is the correct one I have? Thanks in advance.

What he said. Keep in mind, if you know whether it's for the C-cab or D-cab, the C-cab is the double cab and the D-cab is the CrewMax.

They charge shipping, estimated $27 to NY. I didn't get my truck yet, so waiting, but I have been ordering OE parts from Olathe Toyota Parts for a few years, good to deal with

saw this truck, it took them a couple days to make presentable brackets for a new truck. If you want Amp auto step then come to the Houston area.:)

This is a new shop and they are staying busy,,, they must be doing some nice work. I saw a Jeep suspension completely tore apart and they were going new custom replacement,, looked like a lot of money.:)

I called a few dealers and was told the TRD aluminum running boards are back ordered nationwide, part #PT767-34220.

I did not waste time, Sparks had them in stock, so I placed an order for one.

Also had trouble finding the black wheel locks for the 20’ TRD wheels. Was told it is a different part from that of the 4Runner and Tacoma, even though the actual size and pitch is the same. Ended up ordering this from Sparks too, part #PT276-34231-02

Got the TRD skid plate and Toyota tonneau cover from sparks today (even though FedEx was confused about when they were expecting to deliver them). Going to install at some point, just need to go source the extra two bolts because the kit didn’t come with them.

Just popped these TRD air filters in. Basically K&N, it says it on the package. I definitely feel a quicker throttle response. Power comes on quickly and has a deeper sound to the engine. Turbo's start to spoil right away .

Just purchased a little larger tire with a little more aggressive look. Here is the before and after pic.
