I think my set of gauges was like $30. Maybe $40. Never been used... besides I was just throwing an idea out there

Nice. Didn't picture mom having a tuned Z28, that's awesome.

Ive got a similar borla system on my truck, but with the original resonator. I like the sound with the new one they have there.

Speaking of gauges, I've been meaning to ask this for the longest time.

Does ANYONE make a pressure gauge kit for the 2UZ-FE? That's one of the things I loved about GenIII LS-type engines. The damn fuel rail has a damn spot you can direct-mount an analog gauge and see exactly what your fuel pressure is. I'm shocked there's not a kit out there we can retrofit onto our 4.7s in 30 mins or less without any specialty tools.

Edit: Ooooh, just found this on the TS forum -

Came across the dreaded rusted out flanges today on the Cats whilst swapping out the y pipe and mufflers.
There's no real professional exhaust shops near me, they all just swap out parts no benders or fabricators, so I my only option was getting cats, ended up getting a pair of cats on ebay, anyone had experience with these?

Are you looking to add a fuel pressure gauge to your truck or a FPR with gauge?

I'd just like to have an accurate, analog way to pop the hood on the truck at any given time and see the fuel pressure like I've done in other EFI V8 engines I've had. It's a handy thing to have IMO.

I currently have an Aeromotive FPR with gauge but have no clue how I'm gonna install it. Well I do have some ideas, so not entirely clueless. Lol.

Translating this, “spin the LSPV nut out a couple of turns and try the truck out. “ The pedal travel will be shorter and the brake feel will be better. If you need a little more, add another turn or two. I’d the rears lock before the fronts, back it off a little.

The buyer was an acquaintance of mine who had a great story behind why I should sell it to him, and I knew I couldn't keep it due to family changes (newborns).

I also wasn't in my right mind when I sold it, but that's another story entirely. Sometimes when you're down, you're down, and that's how it is.

Do I miss it? Yes. But the experience was priceless and armed me with almost all the info I needed to help several other friends and acquaintances complete their LS swap.

Would I take it back? At the right price, yes, but I wasn't willing @ 6x+ what I sold it for, after the awesome work he did to finish, and that's what he was asking.

I think Walker makes a set as well. Downside to these is they're all aluminized steel so you may only get 5 years tops out of them. I'd hold onto your original CATs for the next go around when you are able to find a custom exhaust shop in the future.

I don't recall you mentioning this.

But you could have something pushing the pistons back into the caliper. It can be caused by slightly warped rotors (doubtful since they were just put on) OR perhaps slightly bad wheel bearings.

If the front wheel bearings have any play, it'll push the pads back and the pistons in. It'll act soft for the initial pedal push, then be good after.

Crimped some terminals on the radio harness.. waiting on the connector to show up. But should have the radio harness back in before tooo long. Need to find a small 4 pin connector to let me have the speaker outputs accessible from under the console for the amp. I’ll use a jumper harness for now. But the amp will be an easy add later. I need to figure how I’m going to route wiring after the camera situation is sorted out.

I don't hate classic rock, per se.
    I do hate Van Hagar.
I'm not particularly fond of Van Halen. Specifically, I don't usually turn it off when it comes on. I don't turn it on intentionally ever.
We should push this over to the Lunchtable if we're going to keep going. This is the one place that generally doesn't go too far down the rabbit hole. :D

Gonna stop by napa autoparts after work today and grab some paint for the side molding on the doors of my truck. I ran into a guy the other day that had his removed and filled them in and it looks amazing. I keep thinking of going that route but dont feel like spending that money right now so decided to try just painting them white. Hopefully it looks decent!

Yes they do. In my pic above is the piece they sell. It's a black little extender with a fitting for a pressure gauge. Basically the piece mounts onto the stock FPR fitting and the regulator goes on top of it.

I just greased my upper and lower ball joints, the outer tie rod and the sway bar end links. Doing this solved like 95% of the squirrely wandering steering my truck was having. Nice.

New Dyno run gained me 14 HP and loss of 4 TQ (Peak Torque). R9K tuned ecu looks to be the real deal as far as basic tunes for these 2UZ-FE engines. I Still wanna try DAP Tuning for a better gain or comparison. Or Darden tune whos here in SoCal but takes forever responding to messages.
