What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Has anyone ordered these covers for the interior sections that are wood in a Limited? Found these thru Amazon. Wanted to get input before I ordered them.

 

I do plan on matching the grille. I think the chrome is nice on the truck but feel it is over done, also prefer black; gives it a mean look.

 

That looks awesome. I finally got my S8 in last week. How did the install go? Did you follow instructions or deviate at all? Any tips?

I plan to do mine soon.

 

Prepare for some fun...cutting, drilling, the corner bulge clips. I deviated my install and used the screen from the insert. It hides the gap between the bottom of the bar and the edge of the bulge.

 

I can’t speak to that bar but I did a bar in the bulge. Rather easy. There is a member on here ( forgot the name… maybe platinum or something?? ) that did an install how to. Pretty straightforward. Again, not that particular bar but I’m sure it’s close to the same way I did mine. Dunno though lol

 

The install that you are referring to is a very small bar from Amazon that he put inside the bulge insert scoop and put the scoop back in. Nowhere close to the install that the S8 would require.

 

Oh… disregard then lol. Again, not sure about the s8 bar. Didn’t realize whether a bar using the insert or not or size would be that much different than another other than a little fab/thinking. Again, assuming on my part…. Clearly wrong lol

Agreed. Where did you end up getting that grill? I like the TRD Pro grill with the letters over the emblem. I do want to get that grill as well but I'm not sure if I want to keep black or color match with the blue. I really love the way that looks as well.

 

Slight difference in the back light between the s8 30" and 40". Just FYI. The BD bars are badass. Just like I should have a front license plate, I also shouldn't use my s8 on the road at night. I never use it whenever I see a vehicle on the road, however, just like my bd squadrons in the fog loactions I use both as my high beams living in the sticks. Imo it's money well spent. I also have a pair in the rear bumper that I can turn on by switch or auto in reverse.

Thank u sir. 6 years old and over 75k miles, I'm still loving it. Not even close to being sick of it. At this point wouldn't even consider for a second trading for a 22 or any other vehicle. I'm hoping to be buried in it when I die. I love my tank.

I know right, I'm ashamed lol. Figured since I'll be going to work in the middle of the storm while everyone is drinking hot cocoa I might as well not go too crazy with it since it'll be covered in more salt very soon. If you think that's bad this one, just a week after washing it is gonna make you really freak out. It almost looks like I made a bad color choice and went with white. Don't cry white Tundras I'm only kidding.

Yeah I want to put 285/75/18’s on and I want a complete reversible solution to the wheel wells that will cause no damage.

 

Just added racks to my tonneau cover for my paddle boards, etc.

 

They are really easy. You do not have to remove the bumper to install them. Just loosen the nuts on one side and back them off leaving about 2 threads...just enough to have each nut started. Remove the nuts on the other side and the bumper will slide off the studs giving you enough room to slip the shims in.

 

Shift boot mod. Apologies for the mess.
