Had an Associated Nitro TC3 about 20 years ago (i think) and kept it up until a few years ago. Had a great time learning to race on that one. Finally gave it to a friend of mine...as soon as he took it, I was like...what did I just do?

So after few weeks of owning and running my UDR hard. I decided to crack open rear diff, center diff, and tranny. FML!!! my hex bit broke off in the set screw on the rear end of the drive shaft, barely enough bit to grab with pliers. So slapped some Udder Butter in all gears. Man!!! Traxxas barely out any grease inside! Need to order parts cause both set screws on either end of shaft are super tight

 

Not in the store.

Ran the Maxx for the first time today. That SOB is quick. I left some tire marks on the blacktop. A few times I had it nose up... gets a little squirrely when it's on the rear wheels and tetering on the wheelie bar and no steering.....at full throttle.

I'll probably run again tomorrow.

 

Just slapped all gears with Cowrc Udder Butter, Traxxas barely put anything in

 

I'll have to check that. I might even try putting the XMaxx differential back together.

Ha! I bought the shock caps for my UDR few weeks ago, I scoured all the stores in town trying to color match the bottoms ends and bottom caps, what do those fit?

 

Your UDR lol jk jk I’m not sure some one was selling them in a rock crawling Facebook group.

Yea I have 3 total that’s why I’m trying to sale one. A fellow tundra driver is selling the UDR 6s for 450 tho lol. I think I’m just gonna go xmaxx since I want a bigger scale RC but sure is tempting to buy that UDR

@fisherman951 on your ultimate slash what rear springs are on it? I put blue blue on my rear slash gtr shocks, might be too stiff?

 

Here is my latest project.

 

The white ones are what came with it. This one has stayed stock the only thing I added was the fans. They are a bit soft. On the other ones I have replaced the springs with team losi springs. Then just pick your (color, rate) you want.

 

Are there 2 color bands at the top of the white springs?

Cool thanks, i need to grab a set of those to try. The blue banded ones are pretty stiff, truck bounces over little stuff

 

Just walked into a local hobby store this morning and found this UDR in the "pre-owned" section. I have to say it is a shit-ton of fun to drive! I haven't had any type of short course truck before, and I am very impressed with how well this truck performs. I'm running it 6s and it has plenty of go-go juice for it being a larger and relatively heavy truck.

 

Ha...pick up an XMaxx!
