I do like the look of the Pro a lot. The interior needs to be functional for me including the 3rd row though to make the jump. I'd like a L version that would compete with Expedition Max, Suburban, and Yukon XL so there is more room behind 3rd row. I do wish they would put the rear wiper up in the spoiler and get it off the glass. It looks so much cleaner.

Glad we get to see it tonight instead of ~September.

Would be great if they gave it a big tank but you know they won't. Expedition can go something like 40% farther between fill ups.

    Looking forward to the details.

Starting to regret the thread title.

    That third row. :bananadead:
    That cargo space. :bananadead:
The way those seats stow. :bananadead:

Dangit. I hate that I don’t really like it. Maybe the non-hybrid interior will make more sense.

I'm seeing 5 lugs on the wheels in these Sequoia leaks, while the new Tundra has 6. :monocle:

I dont understand the rear cargo thing with the smaller upper level, etc. it looks like there is no larger flat area to load stuff, only flat and smaller.

maybe we are missing something and the seats go down further or something

So the lightened version of this picture makes it look like it might have a solid rear axle with the shock mounts just inside the tires:

Man, I really hope this is Land Cruiser size with maybe a slightly longer wheelbase, like 116-118". I would love to get rid of my GX and my F150 for a Land Cruiser. Smaller and more nimble than the F150 but a little more spacious and much more powerful than the GX. It would kill all the birds with one stone.

If only we can get a long wheel base. This will most certainly replace our Suburban in a couple years.

I'll wait to see the specs and in the flesh, but my 80K would still go for this.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqKhtL3OT8w

Sure you can option the Grand Wagoneer up over 100K, but the Wagoneer Series II is super well equipped and starts at 70, with the few add ons, comes up at $75k the way I want.

If I am going for a 3 row full size SUV, I want some room behind the third row
    jeep-grand-wagoneer-30.jpg

This new Sequoia has less room behind the Grand Cherokee L, and that is in the 40-50's

    2021-jeep-grand-cherokee-l-cargo-space.jpg

Would NEVER buy any first year model, but especially not a new American first year vehicle. Though........ My 2006 Jeep Commander was a first year model similarly on proven mechanicals, and is going strong at 175K miles with very minimal repairs..........

The GX is 196" total length. LX is 200". Sequoia is 205". There really isn't much interior difference to me (size wise, not tech) in the GX vs. old LX because the rear seats folded sideways and not down. I do like the new LX 600 F-Sport, but again, I need room behind third row. That's why I am hoping for an L version. If they made an LX-L at 118" wheelbase and 205" total like the current Sequoia, I'd probably trade the wife's GX in for that one.

It does seem a good opportunity to appease the Land Cruiser people as well as those wanting bigger if there were two versions. I'm not holding my breath though.

You are right on that one. The new Wagoneer looks pretty good. I agree with you the Series II is all you need. You can get top end 4x4 and all goodies for a decent price. The 15/20mpg isn't that exciting, but it's a big A vehicle.

I just checked the Jeep site, and they finally added the Series I that starts at $58K for 4WD.

    Sorry to thread jack guys.

I havent written the Sequoia off, and look forward to seeing in the flesh and test driving. That Said, I just saw a 2021 Night Shade Sequoia and it is VERY nice. I hope the new Sequoias are more plentiful than the last model, they were very hard to find.

Looks sweet. Less rugged than prior gens but let's be honest most of these are soccer mom cars (ours included).

Now to wait and see how reliability pans out for the drivetrain. Will be looking seriously at these in a couple years.
