That looks much better than stock. What's the offset on your wheels? How much did those tires knock your mpg's down?
    Thanks!

I have come here because I have to eat my words. The 2022 is nice. The front end actually doesn't look bad in person. Only thing that is still super weird looking is the rear bumper. First time I saw one in person today, and i think they did pretty good.

Yup…they all do I think (Google collaboration).

I think you get a certain free trial period and then it’s like $8 per month or something.

    works pretty decent…voice activated, etc.

Okay, so I'm happy for everyone with their new trucks. I scrolled through the entire thread mostly just looking at pics and managed to find a few things I like about the truck.

For anyone coming from a 2nd gen - is there a reason the front end of the truck looks so huge? I know it's similar in style to a lot of other current truck models, but one of the things I love about my 2011 is the shorter front end on it, and I'm not sure I can get over the 2022+ front end...it looks as long as the bed on the trucks. Is it that comically large in person? Or is it a trick of the angles/pictures? Is it necessitated by the double turbos? For safety/impact purposes? Trying to wrap my mind around this one and maaaaaaaaybe talk myself into a new truck in a year or two...

I think alot of it is this girl isn't a good picture taker lol I saw one in person today the first time and it looks good. I think the smaller slimmer headlight design exaggerates the grille size.

So...grill aside...that's not the issue. I can get used to that. The all-black look goes a long way to making that almost a none-issue.

Dimensionally, as best as I can find, the new 2022 is ~6" longer than the 2011. If you put them side by side...the sheer length of the nose (a-pillar to front end) is significantly larger.

it's a port installed option exclusive from the regional distributor
the regional distributor chooses whether to add them or not before sending the truck to the dealer, and it's part of the Monroney window sticker MSRP

Posted it on another thread, but finally picked up my 1794 OR 6.5” bed midnight black today. As a previous generation owner of a 1794…this thing is light years ahead (and I did like the 2014 I had a lot).

I have TRD cast aluminum running boards coming. And will (hopefully soon) be doing a 2” leveling kit and 35s (probably Maxxis)

Damn that looks good! Congrats, I wanted that same set up but a tad too $$ right now and current parking situation did not favour a 6.5 crewmax. Maybe an upgrade in a few yrs!

I actually had to parallel park it in a reasonably tight space in our downtown area tonight to pick up some food and was surprised how easy it was for the length -but it is really long (much longer than the Yukon Denali we traded in on it) - all the cameras made it pretty easy.

Thank you, I’ve only had it a few hours but so far, I’m loving it. I agree with others, I enjoy it much more in person than I did in pictures.

So I put my deposit on tundra in late October, the very next day wife decided she wanted a new “fun” car.

ordered first week of November her ride showed up, I wish she picked a 4Runner but happy wife happy life. But also f#ck Chrysler.

    still waiting on my tundra

@TF_CC can’t wait to see yours. It was factory installed…which honestly I wasn’t expecting and assumed I would have to do after getting it.

It seemed funny to me that it was factory installed but no running boards. I ordered the TRD Cast Aluminum running boards, which gets installed at the dealer next week.

the ambient lighting in the interior is a nice touch. I am used to it from our other vehicles, but they did a really nice job on it in this truck.
