I'm going from stock halogen housings to factory Toyota LED housings when I get off work tonight. Shouldn't take long to swap them out. I have the Headlight Revolution harness. My question is, since these lights have the electronic leveling feature, is there a procedure I need to follow to make sure the new lights are aimed exactly like my existing lights? Do I need to make any changes, or will they just work right out of the box?

    Alot of them
Check them in the dark and see where the beam pattern is. The leveling feature is just for adjusting the beams up and down when towing or hauling, but the headlight will have a manual adjustment on it for fine tuning.

    Too many, but not enough....
they should already be aimed properly but just to make sure, shine your halogens on a wall and mark the hot spots with tape, then do the same once you get the LEDs on, if its on the same spot then you are golden.

OK I need somebody to help me. The harness that headlight revolution sent me will not plug in to my factory wiring connections. In their video they mention a 4 pin power plug and my truck does not have any that have 4 pins. Did I order the wrong stuff?

Their harness is not that great in my opinion and the install instructions are wrong for my year truck. I would recommend the ihacker harness.

So the part I am holding in the picture above....I just left it unplugged. Plugged everything else from my truck back into the new LED lights same as the stock ones. And, it works! Crazy!

I did have the 3-wire turn signal, so I swapped the pin locations between purple and white. Those work now too.

Lights ended up needing only very minor adjustment to be even with each other and aimed properly. I love them.

Did the TRD Pro grille at the same time...one tab on the grille was broken right out of the box and I broke the same one on the other side during installation. Gosh those things are fragile! But it's installed and looks amazing. So much better than chrome!

So I realized something this morning. Don't these LED lights have halo rings around them for the DRL function? I wonder if that's what the unused portion of the Headlight Revolution harness is for? Maybe that portion of the harness has to tie into a power source somewhere to make the LED DRLs come on??

This white 4-pin connector on the factory wiring in the truck is what they show going to the remaining connection on the plug and play harness they sent me, but my truck does not have that white connector. Odd! So I guess that's why my LED DRL ring around my lights isn't working.

We're your original halogens the ones w the single led drl strip on the bottom? Would definitely recommend the ihacker harness. I never had good experiences with anything from headlight revolution.

No, mine were halogen with the amber turn signals used as DRLs.

I'll look into that ihacker harness. Thanks.

So just to kind of wrap this up apparently I bought the wrong harness and/or did not buy all of the harnesses I needed to. Headlight Revolution is sending me the correct one at no additional charge. Thanks to all those who helped.

New to the forum. Never use but I need help. Hey, I purchased these a little over a year ago… nearly $1000. I should not have to be putting up with issues paying that much. The blinker bulb socket is not the same as the factory halogen housing ones, so they gave me a different one that hold a different halogen bulb. My issues is it messes with the system causing a hyper flash when on the parking light/headlight position (only rear hyper flashes, front doesn’t even blink!) when on the “off” setting the front you can’t even tell is blinking vs the regular drl brightness. The rear acts weird almost as if hazards are on, the license plate lights blink and even the interior lights. When I put the regular drl/blinker plug on the harness and aregular sylvanya bulb the issue disappears but it won’t fit in the housing. Someone please tell me I’m not the only one having this issue. Were both the bulbs I was sent bad and don’t work well so the systemthings they’re out or what?

What kind of harness did you buy to use with the lights? When you go halogen to LED it's a totally different electrical pulse and the existing wiring won't play well with it. You need a harness that has the proper resistors built into it to make it compatible.

On newer trucks it's usually done via changes in the vehicle settings. Can be done with a tuner, or by the dealership with their software. 5 minute update and boom you're done. But apparently on these 2.5 Gen truck you've got to do it the manual way with wiring and resistors.

They’re halogen. It just came with a different socket, no adapter
