Supposedly it will, the two places I've seen it having best results are hydraulic system (except brakes) and engine oil. Transmission seems to be hit or miss.

The big thing I see stressed over and over again is it'll only work if it's a rubber seal that's causing the issue, and it only works optimally if that seal isn't heavily cracked or torn. All it does is rejuvenate the rubber itself, but not using petroleum distillates, so it's "impossible to over-swell gaskets as other additives w/distillates will".

Just know the stuff isn't $8/bottle like it used to be, and as you'll see listed on forums as recently as 2016. Must be gaining traction because they've upped the price 2.5x in less than 5 years to $20 per 8oz. You only need 1oz per liter of fluid in the unit.

Again, worst case here, I'm out $20 and driver side VC gasket still leaks leaving me to spend $50-75 in parts to replace gaskets sooner than later. Best case, I buy myself 2-3 years time w/o leaks so I can handle the VC gaskets at the same time as TB/WP, plugs, and other stuff.

I suspect this leak is due to one of two things: Either because I'm not driving enough to keep the gaskets lubricated and they need some body restoration, or because my last SeaFoam in the crankcase swole up or dissolved something, though I've literally never had that happen in all the years I've used it on higher mileage cars than this.

I'm seriously hoping this is another SeaFoam and Marvel Mystery Oil for sure. Both of those products have never let me down. I typically break down and do the work right if gaskets leak, just to stop the mess. It'd be nice to have a product in the arsenal that gives some leeway to manage the swap when I want to.

Today my new Oxygen sensors came in. I hear they can improve MPG and I’m fairly sure mine haven’t been replaced since she came out the factory. If it wasn’t for you fine specimens of awesomeness, I wouldn’t of saved a nice chunk buying from McGeorge.

should be in next day or so. Wonder if the buttdyno will pick up any improvement in idle/drive.

I'll have to keep an eye on my brake lines. Doing the front end rebuild and 2.5" Ironman lift next week.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Passenger side manifold is off, block off installed (not really needed). Tomorrow I’ll do my power steering lines since they’re stupid easy to reach right now. Then Maybe put this side together. I didn’t get out of work till 9:30. Ugh.
I have to pull all the studs too for the stage 8 bolts.

I’ve been happy with my custom rad. No leaks yet. Hell they still call and check up on how it’s holding up every once in a While.

Been considering getting a scangauge for awhile and came across a used one on FB marketplace for $60. Good score? I know zero about ‘em. Any pro tips, or helpful advice on getting started will be appreciated.

Thought so, it’s actually the scangauge2. You know if they’re capable of calculating for tire size changes? Specifically to correct speedo, mpg, odometer, etc.

It's a dobison 2.5 inch lift combo and I added a 2 inch spacer up front. For some reason my 2.5 inch rear OME Springs gave me and uneven lift. I had about almost 1 inch difference in front. So I figured 2 inch spacer will give me 1 inch difference.

You just have to program the code. Its easier than setting the clock on a microwave.
It does, I'm pretty sure it either doesn't or uses a different code for 05/06, but for 04 and older it does. I have had it on my truck forever.

I have tried 6 or 7 xgauge configs. I’ll try the one posted. It’s not easing finding the right one. Programming it is indeed easy.

I just read that you can send the unit in for a firmware update for $25. Was thinking old version might be limiting for you, but @Darkness said he’s got 8 years running that gauge. Anybody know what improves by updating firmware?

I wonder myself. Mine was purchased only a couple of months ago but that of course doesn't mean it wasn't sitting in a box on a shelf for 8 years either :)

Not sure I'd care to send it in unless I knew for sure I'd get something out of doing that, but I could also see doing that pre-emptively. I can't remember if I tried to find an "about" to see current firmware and compare with latest or if that's even public.

It's a fun toy though. I need to research which ones Dan has showing, that's getting into stuff I don't yet know about.
