my 21 pro had 15% rear, 30% front and 70% windshield.

the f150 has 15% all windows and nothing on front.

god damn I miss my pro.

Trucks look awesome! Talk to me about 70 on front windshield, it has popped up in my research but I was wondering if it makes a big difference in heat reduction in the cab? And is it any issues at all with night driving??
    Would u do windshield again??

I didn’t do my F150 because it’s short term. I’ll prob go 50% windshield on my 22 Tundra. The heat rejection is unreal. I used xpel XR on the tundra and XR+ on the f150. Then+ is 98% heat rejection and is great. The windshield makes a difference. Pano roof is worth it if you leave the shade open.

Can anyone out there with a 3rd gen running 35's (35x12.5R18) confirm if a full size spare tire fits without any issues? Just ordered the Westcott lift and am planning on adding some Methods and 35" KO2's... Before anyone asks, I don't have the truck yet, but dealer is hoping it gets on their allocation next week (deposit placed November, Army Green SR5 ORP).

Spent a few years stationed in Germany with several fast cars at my disposal. Your post on driver skills is spot on. Our standards for receiving a license are by far ridiculous. You can't explain what it's like driving at high speed for extended periods to those that think fast is 80MPH. The other part of this is enforcement. Have huge respect for our LEO's. That said, virtually no enforcement for left lane riders, tailgaters and cell phone users, etc.

Not sure if this is correct location for this post. Have the JBL System and looking to adjust the sound.

I can see the sound adjustment - equalizer but it will not allow me to adjust. It shows - but is greyed out.

    Any thoughts - recommendations?

Were you moving? Toyota likes to gray out options when you are moving so you aren't messing with it while driving.

Anyone put a plow on a 3rd gen yet? I can hold off 1 more winter but then I definitely need a plow on my next truck.

I hear you but I don’t want a plow truck sitting in my yard or woods for 9 months a year.

Fair but only one thing happens to plow trucks - they get beat the f up. Seems a shame to do that to a brand new truck.

You could always use the F250 to do truck stuff like it was designed for, and then use the 2022 Tundra to go get groceries like it was designed for. :crapstorm:

Anyone have this on their gen3. Is this like the spotlight on the ford mirrors?

I could be totally off on that assessment but I cant think of what else those could be. MAYBE its the on and off switch for additional blinker lights?

Unless it’s tow mirror specific, because the button to the right looks like the tow mirror in and out adjustment.

right now its whatever toyota sends to the dealer. allocation requests has not opened up yet. toyota's version of ordering is called allocation requests. the dealer puts in an allocation request in dealer daily and once toyota builds that request, it is allocated to that dealer.

the assembly line has a computer that feeds its configurations based on weighted criteria on certain trims/options. the rarer the trim/options the least likely it will get built. the trims/options that sell a lot get built more, thats why some allocations are filled quicker than others at dealers.

right now toyota is just building the most common trims/options that most people want and shipping those out to all dealers with dealers having no say in what they want. you take what they send you until allocations requests opens up for that region.

Another one. "My wife doesn't like the truck" in a craigslist for sale ad probably means you came home with a new truck without her knowing and then she found out you paid 10k over sticker.

Just saw a fault screenshot videos on a new tundra showing brake malfunction and active grill shutter malfunction....thats a new one..most of the ones I have seen are for the Turbo/wastegate. Looks like they may have got some Ford electronics gremlins on the assembly line down there in Texas

who would actually buy from those scalpers? If I were to drop $10k markup, I'd rather just buy from one of those CA dealers sitting on multiple new ones and I'd be the first owner and good resale value

What you have just described is an allocation-based process.
