Trans temp, oil temp, off road gauges, boost.

You can also change the central display to show a tach+digital speedo or speedometer.

the pitch and roll meters can be accessed in the analog, at least on TRD OR package

so what the analog is missing:

    • Boost PSI
    • Transmission temp
    • Engine oil temp
this sucks, I really want double cab, but only analog available on that cab trim

Just throwing this out there...you can generally get this data via mobile app coupled with a bluetooth adapter that plugs into your OBDII port. There are boat loads of them on Amazon for cheap (usually $40 or less).

I don't know that not having this info available via the gauge cluster would be enough for me to NOT buy a Double Cab, but hey...different strokes for folks, I guess. If it were me, I'd get the cab style I wanted, spend $40 on the adapter, and have the mobile app up while driving.

    My 2 cents.

I wonder if an app showing that data on a phone could be displayed on the center screen in Apple Car Play or Android Auto?

I definitely value 6.5 feet bed, shorter overall length, park in garage instead of driveway aka Double Cab

I wouldn't doubt there is an app out there that would. There are lots of apps that show on Apple CarPlay that I'm impressed with. I used OnX for trail maps and the Apple CarPlay view is pretty nice.

I do enjoy my DC with the 6.5' bed. I don't have kids so I didn't care about rear seat passenger comfort when buying my truck. If I need to carry people around, we'll take my wife's 4Runner.

Am I the only one who thinks the 12”digital display looks horrible?

I use Scangage 2 on both my Tacoma and 2016 Corvette. Mounts very discretely atop the steering column. It can display a host of parameters including trans temp... though I am not sure about boost since I don't have such a vehicle. The Vette has a configurable center screen that can display some of this stuff but I find it is far more convenient to have the ScanGage showing 4 parameters full time than scrolling through screens on the dash or an app to find them. It also reads codes if and when you get a CEL.
