Seriously though...it's like the Tundras themselves. One will wait for a good product, and/or good customer service. We appreciate what you do - and we realize you're human like the rest of us.

 

Just ordered me a front and back set ... with the security bolts ... they are now hitting peoples trucks in the neighborhood (West of Houston). Really going after the Prius ... so waiting with shotgun in hand

 

Today I reworked my pricing and I think it will work out really well for most. I dropped the price of shipping on the steel cat plates, but raised the price for the 3/16 steel. This means that those buying the 1/8 steel won’t have to pay 3/16 prices moving forward. Also, powder coat prices went up $5.

So, a 1/8 steel front cat plate powder coated black used to be $375 shipped, now it is $355. Not a huge difference but anything helps right?

OK. How did you attach the rear bracket to the truck? As Tyler said, nice work around for the sliders. Can you post pics of the attachment of the bracket to the truck?

 

Nice! So same mount point, but with the bracket ends switched and the bracket inside the truck's frame instead of outside.

 

I was bored, waiting on welding wire from Amazon and started packing some plates. I am pretty much caught up to 2 months out right now. As soon as I get this damn aluminum batch back I will be completely inside 2 months and more. I know these posts may seem like a vent but I want everyone to know exactly what is going on.

I am going to have the aluminum front skid plates TIG welded by my friend’s company because I don’t think I can do a good enough weld with a spool gun. That will add alittle lead time to those, but the quality will be much better.

 

Thefts are up in my area. Tyler sent me the rear plate today! Front was installed 4 months ago. I can almost sleep well at night!

Hi Tyler,

This may be a stupid question, but with an RCI Transmission skid, I can not mate it to your rear skid - is that correct? If I understand correctly, it mates to the RCI Engine skid, and would (in my case) replace the RCI Transmission skid.

 

Yep the front cat plate will replace the trans skid.

I figured out what was wrong! It wasn’t me! I feel a lot more confident about welding the aluminum skid plates now. PS, this was my first bead after I got it working.

 

No venting from us, just holding our breath and exhaling loud... Now, sleeping well at night is a different story...

The aluminum order is supposed to finally be done in a few days, the new steel order is supposed to start Friday

 

Does the change in price of steel plates affect orders that have not been shipped yet?

Me too. I cheated and took it to mechanic to install.

 

I too am envious of the lift. Want to add Barnes washers to my install, but don't want to wrestle with it. Maybe when service is needed. (Yes, I am a wimp.)
