I paid 10,900 for my 02 back in 2011.

Then I paid the same for the 06 in 2015.

These prices are something else.

 

I mean, if it had 30% less miles, it'd probably be on Bring A Trailer for 2.5x as much!!

 

I mean, I get kinda bored probing around in there with my fingers all day, may as well try something new eh

 

I think I still got a decent deal on my 06 4x4 with 193K for $6500.

My 02 had 150k when I bought it. Both were white sr5 4x4. The 06 had 117k. I thought it was a good deal both times.

 

Hell yeah that seems like a good deal even outside of the current crazy market.

 

I paid $12,500 for my 02 in 2016 but it was 1 owner, had extensive service records, only 139k miles and it was as close to mint condition as one can expect for a 14 year old truck. I remember thinking I overpaid but I also don't have any regrets.

 

@daveeasa be sure the nanny covers/protects the paint. That slop that comes from the wet sanding will stain your paint pretty quickly.

 

Would love to find a clean 06 or so AC 4x4

 

This '03 AC 4WD w/310k and recent timing belt change has all but been rotting on ATL's Craigslist it's been sitting so long. All FL/GA, "as rust free as you'll ever see". To get the most out of it, I agree. Maybe 60 min a side. I did it real fast and it's great, I can see where more time wet sanding would pay dividends.

Amazingly the step side bed isn't the worst thing about that Tundra.

I can't prove it but it seems like Toyota made a lot more double cabs in 05-06 than access cabs. I don't see nearly as many AC's in those years.

Ordered the denso rad from them. Doesn't visually appear to be messed up at all like the 2 I received from Amazon. @Tundra2 also ordered his from there and it was all good. Costs a little more but if that's what it takes for no damage then I'll take it.

 

Also, I saw my twin on my way to drop off the truck tonight. Yellow taillights, v8 RCLB in white. Looked very clean too.

Tundra and Tacoma are big here.

 

I’m probably the same way as you, I can only see sweet Toyota vehicles. Are other brands big there, just you don’t notice them because it’s not your cup of tea?

My buddy drives fed ex out there, he still blasts smoke! But he also rides his bike to work, damn him!!!

 

I rode my bicycle home from Jason’s after dropping the truck. Nice night ride. He laughed at me for two wheels and no engine.

 

It’s funny because it’s totally his dad engrained in him; his dad rode his bike home like 25 miles…….everyday!!!!!!
You might see him closer to @des2mtn way, he’s pretty harry, so just look for Sasquatch on road bicycle……

 

I had a few motorcycles but the dang tires and oil changes were just a pain. I’d genuinely rather rent than own.

 

started the header swap.. well sprayed things down and got the engine support setup. going to work on it slowly during the week this week after work each day.

 

I'd take off a bit quicker, let that low 1st gear do some work to overcome your bigger tires. 2.5-3k rpm shift.

Gotta put my 12-hole injectors on too.

Clocked 18.2mpg freeway only at 67-68mph, a weekend ago.

Now that I'm working in the big town, I've been able to ask around for reputable car shops. Got a few nailed down to call when I'm ready to ask the local "Professionals" questions/pricing/etc.

Looking into remote starters for the corolla. If that works well, and the price isn't through the roof I'll have one of the shops here install it.

Now, I don't know jack about remote starts.

Do I "need" a two-way system?

What do yall have that works gud?

The audio guy in the local group only uses compustar, we had a viper put in the 4runner, we like it, the two way feature is nice but not 100% necessary I guess
