Here is the sensor for $83 (cheapest I could find without a junk yard source)

 

This one worked perfectly for me $16. Nice find on the headlight stalk. Cheaper than I paid.

Will this mod have the lights turn off when the engine turns off and the door is open then shut? I hate that my lights won't automatically turn off with the engine and then closing the door, my 2004 tacoma does this and its so much better. Second question...with this turn the lights on when unlocking via key fob?

 

They automatically turn off after 30 seconds.

 

yup and if you hit the lock twice they will go off also

Thank you for the response. Sounds like this is something I need to get done. I'm afraid about the whole steering wheel removal clock spring nonsense so may see if a dealership is willing to do it.

 

I was also but actually was very easy. I bought a steering wheel puller that made it controlled when it came off. That really is the only way I can see screwing up. Just a dab of white out to make sure everything was in alignment

 

I stand corrected on this. If vehicle isnt running then no lights will not go on. If thats what u were asking
