I have had several sets of Bridgestone Revos on my 2001 and 2007 Tundras and they are amazing! All Bridgestones are not the same.

I also started driving in snow in the 70’s in cars all over the country and we either had snow tires on the back or just didnt worry about it a lot and still got around just fine.

My 71 Cutlass with the 350 was a beast somehow and no one even had Radial tires back then.
Guess how big that Cutlass motor is Today?

    Practice is everything really.

Remember how good we have it now!

That is exactly why you park at the bottom of the driveway,or in a flat spot somewhere else at a nearby location BEFORE the weather starts.

I live 65 miles NW of ATL. No we don't have lots of snow removing equipment in the south. The other thing is the snow we get is very wet and icy which adds a lot to the equation. We don't get the dry powdery stuff.

Drive slowly to an empty parking lot and then learn how to drive, how vehicles perform, on snow & ice. That experience may serve you well at some point in the future - and actually doing it is the only way to gain that skill.

Can’t wait. Although the tundra will probably stay home. I’ll take the Tacoma out to play. Mixed reports for us. Some say 1-2”, some say 6”. We’ll see. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I agree, didn't think my comment through. Yeah we have that iron rich red clay here. When I was at Grand Forks I learned how to drive on ice real quick when the deuce and a half I was driving got sideways on the ops ramp and I'm looking out the passenger window to see forward.

Our friends pointed and laughed when we bought $5 sleds for our kids. But they have come in handy a few times since. Hope we get a few more inches! There’s a huge hill down the street that we love sledding down.

I grew up with snow and learned to drive in it. Most people around here should just stay home. I take a tow strap and a shovel and see if anyone needs help getting anywhere. A couple weeks ago, we got about 7” of snow, and I saw another guy in a Tundra—I kid you not—pushing his wife’s corolla up a long steep hill with his truck. I was coming down that same hill the other way. Amazing.

Just make sure that ALL snow is removed from the roof prior to driving. The Tundra will shed snow onto the windshield like no other vehicle.

I'm in a place called Due West SC, right now freezing rain and ice building up on the ground. my drive way is slick as..well ice. Now they are calling for the snow at about 3pm.
    What's funny is it'll be 50s tomorrow.

In Nashville, we were told we would get around 5” of snow as well, but so far it’s just rain. My kids are mad.

When we get one of those once a decade couple inches of snow, the kids attach a waterski rope to hitch of their mud trucks and use it with a snow disk
